Por primera vez Estados Unidos será representado en el certamen de Miss Universo por Rima Fakih de 24 años de edad.
Según el diario británico Daily Telegraph “Miss Fakih nació en el Líbano pero llegó con menos de un año a Michigan, donde estudió en un colegio católico. En el Líbano conviven cristianos y musulmanes, entre otros, y eso le permitió integrarse con más facilidad en una ciudad de la que sería años después designada como la mujer más bella”.
Rima Fakih de origen árabe, nació en el Líbano. Luego se mudó a Dearborn, Michigan con su hermano más joven.
Se graduó de la Universidad de Michigan, donde obtuvo su título de en Economía, con especialización en Administración de Empresas. Después de terminar su reinado como Miss EE.UU., planea asistir a la escuela de leyes. Le gusta viajar, correr, bailar, el kickboxing y sobre todo le gusta jugar al fútbol y viendo la NFL.

Rima Fakih of Arab origin, was born in Lebanon. He then moved to Dearborn, Michigan with his younger brother.

After completing her reign as MISS USA, she plans to attend law school.
