Movember

La semana pasada estuve en Oslo y me preguntaron por Movember (Moustache+November), si conocía el movimiento y si se seguía en España. Yo me quedé con cara de pez y escuché interesada lo que era. Me pareció una iniciativa de lo más divertida ¡¡con lo que me gustan a mi los bigotes!! Poco después mi prima colgaba su homenaje movember en Instagram y de pronto todos los blogs hablaban de ello. Desde que me lo contaron había estado pensando en escribir un post, así que hablé con Alberto y le pedí que se dejara crecer el bigote, lo que pronto se demostró que no era viable ya que no puede soportar el picor del vello facial. Así pues, pensamos en un homenaje alternativo que ahora os mostramos.

Last week I was in Oslo and I was asked about Movember (Moustache+November), whether I knew that movement or not or whether it was followed in Spain. As I didn’t know about it, I listened very interested what they told me. For me, it is a nice initiative and I love moustaches!! Soon after that, my cousin uploaded her Movember tribute and put it in Instagram, and suddenly all blogs were talking about it. I’ve been thinking to write a post about it, so I told Alberto to let his moustache grow, what soon was proved to be unsuccessful because he can’t stand the itch of facial hair; so we decided to try an alternative tribute that now we are showing you.

La historia es la siguiente, en 2003 un grupo de amigos en Australia se dejan crecer bigote para apoyar a un amigo con cáncer de prostata y resumiendo, con el paso del tiempo la iniciativa se extiende a varios países del mundo. Here is the story of Movember. In 2003, a group of Australian friends let their moustaches grow to support a friend who suffered from prostate cancer and not long after that, the initiative spread over several countries.
