Natural Makeup thoughts (so far)/ Mi experiencia con el maquillaje natural ( hasta ahora)

La entrada de hoy es un tanto diferente, y es que, como ya os he comentado en alguna ocasión, quería hacer una reflexión sobre mi experiencia con los productos de maquillaje natural que he ido probando hasta ahora.
Me encanta la cosmética natural,eso no es ningún secreto a estas alturas XD De hecho prácticamente todo lo que uso tanto en lo referente a cuidado facial como para cuerpo y cabello son productos naturales, pero en el tema del maquillaje me he encontrado con más errores que aciertos y eso me ha ido desanimando hasta que, al final, he vuelto a las marcas convencionales.
Muchas de las que estáis al otro lado de la pantalla estáis bastante más puestas en la materia y también hay mucha gente a la que el "mundo verde" le despierta mucha curiosidad, así que espero que esta entrada sea de utilidad (aunque creo que, esta vez, es más lo que me ayudáis a mí que  al revés).
He considerado que la forma más fácil de hacer esto es ir por partes, para ir viendo productos del mismo tipo cada vez, en lugar de hacerlo por marcas, que hubiera sido mucho más caótico, os iré contando mi experiencia con ellos, por qué me han gustado o por qué no y al final veremos las conclusiones, así que si os parece, comenzamos.

Today's post is somewhat different, and as I said before, I wanted to tell you about my experience with the natural makeup products that I have tried so far.
I love natural cosmetics, that's not a secret at this point XD In fact practically everything I use both for facial care and for body and hair are natural products, but on the subject of makeup have been mistakes than successes. That  has been discouraging me until, in the end, I've always returned to the conventional brands.
Many of you in the other side of the screen are very much versed the subject and there are also many people to feel very curious about the "green world", so I hope this post to be useful (although I think this time, is could be more helping to me).
I have considered that the easiest way to do this is to go by parts, to see products of the same category each time,  telling you my experience with them, if I liked them or not and why. So lets go!
Rostro/ Face
En cuanto a bases de maquillaje o Bb creams/ hidratantes con color no he dado con ninguna que me haya convencido. He probado las cuatro que veis en la imagen, todas ellas distintas entre sí, pero con una tónica común: ninguna me ha dado el resultado esperado.
La base fluida de Alva os la enseñé en un post de productos terminados. El color es perfecto, pero, a pesar de tener una textura aceptable, me resultaba extremadamente difícil aplicarla con un resultado uniforme, además se iba parcheando enseguida.
La base Sublime de Puro Bio no fui capaz de utilizarla, directamente. En el envase pone "fluid foundation" pero se trata más bien de una crema muy densa, casi tirando a mousse, algo que para mi piel no resulta nada cómodo, por lo que, tras intentarlo un par de veces con ella, finalmente se fue con una nueva dueña que pudo sacarle partido.
Como me gustan las texturas fluidas y ligeras, decidí intentarlo con las hidratantes con color, así me hice con la de Physicians Formula, de su línea organic wear. En este caso, a pesar de su textura ligera y sus buenos ingredientes, el problema fue el tono, el más claro de todos me quedaba oscuro, cosa que me dio mucha rabia, porque el producto prometía.
Cuando salió a la venta la Bb cream de Lily Lolo me faltó dar saltos, ya que todo lo que leía sobre ella era maravilloso, así que cuando sacaron el tono "fair" no lo dudé y me hice con ella. El primer contacto fue muy bueno, de tono era perfecta y me dejó un acabado natural...Peeero ( este "pero" me duele especialmente) a las dos horas de llevarla puesta se me había cuarteado y me había secado la zona de la barbilla y alrededor de la boca hasta el punto de dejarme la piel escamada.

Conclusión Bases y BB creams: no he dado con la mía, pero quiero seguir intentándolo. A la dificultad por encontrar una textura adecuada se une la del tono, ya le tengo echado el ojo a las basses de 100percent pure y la Bb cream de Inika, como opciones naturales y veganas que me gustaría probar.

As for foundations or Bb creams/ tinted moisturizers, I have not found one that I really liked. I have tried the four that you see in the image, all different from each other, but with a common facts: none has given me the expected result.

Alva's fluid foundation was in an empties post. The shade is perfect, but, despite having an acceptable texture, I found it extremely difficult to apply with a uniform result, and it was patching right away.
The Sublime foundation by Puro Bio was definetly not for my skin. In the package, it says "fluid foundation" but it is more like a very thick cream, almost a mousse, something that for my skin is not comfortable at all, so after trying it a couple of times with it, it finally went away with a new owner who could take advantage of it.
As I like fluid and light textures, I decided to try it with tinted moisturizers, so I did with the Physicians Formula organic wear. In this case, despite its light texture and good ingredients, the problem was the shade, the lightest of them was  too dark for me.
When Lily Lolo's Bb cream went on sale,  everything I read about her was wonderful, so when they came out with the "fair" shade I inmediately bought it. The first contact was very good, the shade was perfect and left me a natural finish ... Buuuuut(this "but" hurts me especially) within two hours of wearing it It had cracked my skin and caused me bad breakouts, so...again, not for me.

Foundations and BB creams Conclusion : I have not found mine, but I want to keep trying. The difficulty of finding a suitable texture is added to the shade one, I would like to try for 100percent pure foundation and Inika's Bb cream,both natural and vegan options.

En lo referente a correctores he probado tres, todos ellos aptos para veganos: el de Puro Bio, que viene en formato lápiz y que para mi piel es demasiado seco, por lo que no puedo decir mucho más. También probé un corrector de Terra Bio, que venía en el mismo formato de las barras de labios, este me resultó también un tanto seco, pero sobre todo denso. Por otro lado, el corrector líquido de Lavera, en el mismo formato que los correctores de catrice que, hasta la fecha, han sido mis favoritos. Este último me gustó, si bien en la zona de la ojera había algo que no me convencía, con el tiempo he averiguado que directamente lo que no me gusta es utilizar corrector en esa zona, a no ser que sea para algo muy concreto como fotos o similar, pero para pequeñas marquitas o rojeces sí que me parece una opción que me podría plantear utilizar de nuevo.
Conclusión correctores: me quedo con el formato líquido con aplicador, ya que su textura es la más cómoda e indicada para mi tipo de piel. Quiero probar otros, como por ejemplo el de 100% pure (que ya ha llegado a mi poder) o el de Pacifica, creo que en este apartado, será relativamente fácil quedarme con la opción natural.
About concealers, I have tried three, all of them suitable for vegans: Puro Bio, which comes in pencil format and was too dry for my skin, so I can not say much more. I also tried a concealer from Terra Bio, which came in the same format of lipsticks, this was also a bit dry, but mostly too thick. On the other hand, the Lavera liquid concealer, in the same format as the catrice concealerss that have been my favorite ones so far. I liked it, although in the undereye there was something that did not convince me, over time I found out that what I do not like is to use concealer in that area, unless it is for something very concrete like photos or similar, but for small derness or marks it's an option that I might consider using again.

Concealers conclusions: , since its texture is the most comfortable and indicated for my skin type. I want to try others, such as 100% pure (which I already got!) or Pacifica, I think in this section, it will be relatively easy to stay with the natural option.

En el apartado de polvos sueltos, he probado las bases minerales de Oceanmist cosmetics y Lily Lolo. ambas me han ido muy bien y me planteo repetir con ellas, tanto para utilizar como polvos de acabado como por sí solas. Destaco el tono "porcelain" de la base de Lily Lolo.
En cuanto a polvos compactos, he probado algunos que no me han gustado por resultarme demasiado secos, como los de Boho Cosmetics y los que son mis favoritos desde hace años, los de Honeybee Gardens en el tono "Gheisha", cuya reseña os dejo de nuevo aquí.
Conclusión polvos: los compactos de Honeybee Gardens son mis favoritos y repito siempre con ellos. Como polvos sueltos también he encontrado muy buenas opciones, sobre todo los de Lily Lolo que son más fáciles de conseguir, así que este apartado lo considero un éxito.

In the section of loose powders, I have tested the mineral powder foundations from Oceanmist cosmetics and Lily Lolo. Both worked very well and I would repeat with them, both to use as finishing powders as well as by itself. I emphasize the shade "porcelain" of the Lily Lolo foundation.

As for compact powders, I have used some that I did not like because they were be too dry, like those from Boho Cosmetics, and those that have been my favorites for years: Honeybee Gardens in the shade "Gheisha" (review here).
Powders Conclusions: The compact Honeybee Gardens are my favorites and I always repurchase them. As loose powders I have also found very good options, especially those of Lily Lolo that are easier to buy in Spain, so this section I consider a success.
He probado coloretes minerales sueltos, pero es un formato con el que no me acabo de hacer, así que decidí seguir con los compactos, de los cuales he probado dos.
El colorete de Avril, en el tono "rose nacré" me encantó al principio, por su tono sutil y favorecedor, pero con el tiempo fue perdiendo casi toda su pigmentación. A pesar de su buen precio, contiene talco en su formulación y, si se trata de evitar ingredientes tóxicos, el talco también está en la lista, ya que encontrarlo en un colorete convencional es normal, pero en uno más limpio preferiría que no estuviera. También probé uno de los coloretes de Boho Cosmetics, el tono era precioso y pigmentaba mucho, pero resultaba excesivamente polvoriento. También contiene talco.
Conclusión coloretes: estoy segura de que existen coloretes 100% naturales y sin ingredientes tóxicos ni derivados de animales (como el carmín) que pigmentan maravillas y, aunque por ahora no compraré ninguno porque quiero terminar alguno de los que tengo, me llaman especialmente la atención los de Honeybee Gardens y 100% pure.
I have tried loose mineral blushes, but it is a format that just didn't work for me, so I decided to continue with the compact ones, of which I have tried two.
Avril's "rose nacré" I loved at first, for its subtile rossy shade, but over time It lost almost all its pigmentation. In spite of its good price, it contains talc in its formulation and, if I try to avoid toxic ingredients, the talc is also in the list, since finding it in a conventional blush is quite normal, but in a cleaner one I would prefer that it was not. I also tried one from Boho Cosmetics, the shade was beautiful and pigmented a lot, but it was excessively dusty. It also contains talc.
Blushes conclusion: I'm sure there are 100% natural blushes with no toxic ingredients or animal derivated ones (such as carmine) that pigment wonders and although for now I will not buy any because I want to finish some of the ones I have, I am especially tempted by the blushes from  Honeybee Gardens and 100% pure.
Labios:
En lo que a maquillaje de labios se refiere no he investigado demasiado, ya que con lo que me gustan los labiales fijos, me parece que todos los demás tienen una duración muy corta, pero estoy decidida a investigar más. De momento he probado un labial de Boho Cosmetics, concretamente el tono "Capuccine", que me encantó y hubiese comprado otros tonos de la marca, de no ser porque contienen carmín...una pena. Del labial "Just red" de Benecos os hice una reseña que vuelvo a dejaros aquí. A mi juicio se trata más de un bálsamo con color, además la cera de abejas y yo no nos llevamos bien. También contiene lanolina, por lo que no es apto para veganos.
El labial "Ruby" de Bellapierre, es un tono rojo brillante precioso y huele de maravilla. Sorprendentemente, a pesar de llevar algo de cera de abejas en su formulación, no he notado ninguna sensación extraña con él, imagino que debido a su baja concentración.
La gran sorpresa ha sido el lápiz "Red" de Annemarie Borlind, un tono rojo mate con una buena duración y sin ingredientes de origen animal. A día de hoy no considero los delineadores de labios necesarios, pero si volviese a plantearme comprar alguno, repetiría con este.

Conclusiones labiales:  tengo que investigar y, de hecho ya he estado viendo algunas opciones totalmente naturales y veganas, así que en algún momento tendré que probar, aunque en este apartado os agradecería especialmente si conocéis algunos que sean también altamente pigmentados y duraderos. Total, por pedir que no quede XD
As far as lip makeup is concerned I have not researched too much, since I mostly use longlasting liquid lipsticks, it seems to me that all the others have a very short duration, but I am determined to investigate further. So far I tried a lipstick from Boho Cosmetics, in the shade "Capuccine", which I loved and would have bought other shades of the brand, but I didn't because I found out they contain carmine. About the lipstick "Just red" from Benecos I did a review that I leave you here. In my opinion it is more a balm with a bit of color, besides the beeswax and I do not get along. It also contains lanolin, so it is not suitable for vegans.
Bellapierre's "Ruby" lipstick is a gorgeous shining red hue and smells wonderful. Surprisingly, despite carrying some beeswax in its formulation, I have not noticed any strange feeling with it, I imagine due to its low concentration.
The big surprise was the "Red" pencil by Annemarie Borlind, a matte red tshade with good durability and no animal ingredients. To this day I do not consider the lip liner necessary in my makeup collection, but if I thought about buying any, I would repeat with this one.
Lipsticks conclusions: I have to investigate and in fact I have already been seeing some totally natural and vegan options, so at some point I will have to try, although in this section I would especially appreciate if you know some that are also highly pigmented and durable. 
Ojos:
El tema del maquillaje de ojos es también un punto delicado, me explico: tengo los ojos sensibles, uso lentillas y me gusta que mi delineado y máscara me duren todo el día. Por no hablar de las sombras, que son uno de mis grandes vicios (lo estoy controlando, os lo prometo) y soy un poco pejiguera con ellas.
Como máscara y delineador he probado los del kit "eye booster" de Physicians Formula, aunque no son del todo naturales, según creo. La máscara no me ha gustado nada, me ha resultado muy pastosa y el delineador me gusta, me gusta bastante, pero mi debilidad es el Tatoo Liner y por más que lo he intentado no me parecen iguales. También probé hace tiempo la máscara de pestañas de Boho Cosmetics que, si bien dejaba las pestañas muy bonitas a la par que naturales, salía mucho producto y pasaba más tiempo retirando el sobrante que aplicándola, por lo que no quedé convencida del todo.
En lo que a prebase se refiere probé la de Puro Bio y no quedé nada contenta con ella, ya que me daba color al párpado y no hacía que las sombras durasen más ni fuesen más intensas, así que toca seguir buscando.
También probé ( creo que de los primeros productos que probé de este post) el lápiz para cejas de Benecos que, además de muy seco, resultaba muy oscuro y cálido para mis cejas.
The subject of eye makeup is also a delicate point, I mean: I have sensitive eyes, I wear contact lenses and I like my eyeliner and mascara to last me all day. Not to mention the shadows, which are one of my great vices (I' have it under control now, I promise!) and I'm very demanding with them.
As a mascara and eyeliner I have tried those of the Physicians Formula"eye booster" kit, although they are not completely natural, I think. I did not like the mascara, and the eyeliner...well  I like it but my weakness is the Kat Von D beauty Tatoo Liner and despite what i've read a few times, I have to say No, they're not the same. I also tried long ago the mascara of Boho Cosmetics that, although it made my lashes look very beautiful and natural, a lot of product came out and I spent more time removing the excess that applying the product, reason why I was not completed convinced.
As far as primer is concerned, I tried Puro Bio eye primer and I was not happy with it, because it gave me an orange color to the eyelid and did not make the shadows last longer or were more intense, so I have to keep searching for any options.
I also tested (I think of the first products I tested from this post) the Benecos eyebrow pencil which, in addition to being very dry, was very dark and warm for my eyebrows.
En lo referente a sombras he probado un poco de todo (pero no lo suficiente), como sombras en crema probé un par de jumbos de Puro Bio a los que no les pude sacar mucho partido porque a los pocos meses de tenerlas comenzaron a oler sospechosamente a haberse enranciado. También probé el trío Supernatural de Pacifica, del que os hablé aquí. Los colores son preciosos, pero a lo largo de este año me he dado cuenta de que las sombras en crema no son lo mío. Os dejé su reseña aquí, si os gustan las sombras en crema, os gustarán. De la misma marca he probado la paleta Enlighten, de la que también os hablé aquí. La mitad de las sombras pigmentaban muy bien y de hecho ya las acabé, pero las otras dos eran mucho más secas. Como os dije en su momento, si buscáis colores muy sutiles le sacaréis más partido que yo.
En cuanto a paletas, la Smoke 'n' Mirrors de Lily Lolo ha sido mi decepción más reseñable de los últimos tiempos. Os la reseñé aquí,  pero resumiendo...cara para lo que es: poca pigmentación y nula duración, fue un jarro de agua fría en mi búsqueda de sombras naturales.
Nada que ver las sombras individuales de la misma marca, tuve el tono Ivory Tower, que acabé hace poco y me gustó mucho, a pesar de ser polvorienta pigmentaba de maravilla.
También pude probar alguna sombra suelta de Boho Cosmetics y, el tono era precioso, además no era muy polvorienta.
En este ámbito los ganadores indiscutibles son los pigmentos de Concrete Minerals, una marca de maquillaje mineral vegana y con muy buenos precios. Ofrece colores desde los más discretos hasta los más intensos y, tanto Eve como yo, tenemos unos cuantos cada una, los cuales os enseñamos aquí.
Conclusiones ojos: sin duda aquí hay mucho por probar, me encantaría dar con una máscara de pestañas vegana y natural que me funcionase (ya he estado buscando opciones), encontrar un delineador que me aguantase lo que el Tatoo Liner ( igual esto es mucho pedir, pero soñar es gratis XD) y sombras que fueran intensas, pigmentadas y duraderas. Por ahora no me planteo comprar sombras de ojos porque tengo muchas y estoy intentando reducir la colección, así que no me he puesto a buscar...aún.
In terms of shadows I tried a little bit of everything (but not enough, obviously), like shadows in cream I tried a couple of jumbos from Puro Bio that I could not get much of because a few months after having started to smell suspiciously rare. I also tried the Supernatural trio from Pacifica,  I told you about here. The colors are beautiful, but throughout this year I have realized that cream eyeshadows are not my thing. But if you like the shades in cream, you will like it. From the same brand I tried the Enlighten palette , which I also reviewed here. Half of the shadows pigmented very well and in fact I finished them, but the other two were much drier. As I said before, if you look for subtle colors you will get more out of it than I did.
As for palettes, Lily Lolo Smoke 'n' Mirrors has been my most remarkable disappointment of recent times. I reviewed it here, but to sum up ... expensive for what it is: little pigmentation and null duration, was an absolute fail in my search for natural shadows and I'm sorry for my words, bit I have to be honest with you.
Nothing like the individual shadows of the same brand, I had the Ivory Tower tshade, which I finished recently and I liked it a lot, despite being dusty it had a good pigmentation.
I could also try some loose shade of Boho Cosmetics and, the tone was beautiful, plus it was not very dusty.
In this area the absolute winners are the Concrete Minerals loose eyeshadows, a brand of affordable vegan mineral makeup. It offers colors from the most discreet to the most intense, and both Eve and I have a few. Review here.
Eyes conclusion: no doubt here is a lot of products to try in thissubject, I would love to find a vegan and natural mascara that works for me (I have already been looking for options), and an eyelineras good as the Tatoo Liner ,  (dreaming is free XD) and intense, pigmented and durable eyeshadows. For now I do not think about buying any eye shadows because I have many and I'm trying to reduce the collection, so I have not been looking ... yet.
Conclusiones generalesComo veis he probado un poco de cada categoría, pero salvo un par de excepciones, no he dado con mis productos perfectos. El caso es que, hace poco hablaba de este tema con mi compañera y mejor consejera, Eve, y llegué a un par de conclusiones:
1ª: He probado las marcas que tenía más a mano y sin investigar mucho antes de comprar.
2ª: He ido con cierta desconfianza y por ello no he querido invertir dinero (salvo en una ocasión y me salió rana).
Ambas cosas han hecho que de con productos que o bien no cubrían mis necesidades, o bien no tenían la calidad que le pido al maquillaje. Así que, tras la frustración de no haber encontrado con esos productos limpios de ingredientes tóxicos o derivados de animales, y tras haberme deshecho de gran parte de mi colección de maquillaje un par de veces, ahora voy con mucho más ojo. A esto le ayuda también que haya decidido ponerme seria con el tema de las compras y meditar mucho lo que compro, ya que he eliminado el factor "coleccionismo" y quiero tener una colección más pequeña y manejable.
As you see I have tried a little of each category, but except for a couple of exceptions, I have not found my perfect products. The fact is, I recently talked about this with my partner and best adviser, Eve, and I came to a couple of conclusions:
1st: I've tried the brands I had more easy to buy and without much research before buying.
2nd: I have gone with some mistrust and therefore I did not want to invest money (except on one occasion and Ii didn't went very well).
Both things have done that most products I've tried either did not cover my needs, or did not have the quality I ask for makeup. So, after the frustration of not having found those products clean of toxic ingredients or derived from animals, and after getting rid of much of my makeup collection a couple of times, now I go more carefully and looking for more information. To this also helped when I decided to become serious about the fact of thinking a lot on what I buy, since I have eliminated the "collecting" factor and I want to have a smaller and more manageable collection.
Por todo esto, para mí, la idea de realizar esta entrada supuso un punto de inflexión; es decir, una forma de hacer un replanteamiento y pensar: bueno, esto ha sido hasta ahora, no ha salido del todo bien. Pero cuando lo pienso, sí que me gustaría que todo el maquillaje de mi colección fuese 100% natural, y vegano (o al menos en su mayoría), sin dejar a un lado la calidad, aunque creo que es algo muy difícil y, de conseguirlo, sé que tardaré mucho, ya que actualmente estoy en modo de no comprar más que para reponer lo que voy terminando, estoy dispuesta a seguir intentándolo, para ello estoy leyendo muchas reseñas e investigando sobre ingredientes.
For all this, the idea of making this entry was a turning point for me; I mean, a way of doing a balance and thinking: well, this has been so far, it has not gone quite well. But when I think about it, yes, I would like all the makeup in my collection to be 100% natural and vegan ( or mostly) but without forgetting aboit the quallity, although I think it is very difficult and, if I do, I know it will take me a looooong time, since I am currently in a mode of not buying more that to replenish what I am finishing, I am ready to continue trying, for this I am reading many reviews and investigating about ingredients.
Si habéis llegado hasta aquí, muchas gracias, porque ha sido una entrada muy larga, pero la consideraba necesaria y no quería dejarme nada en el tintero. Espero que os haya resultado útil o, cuanto menos, curiosa. Y si utilizáis habitualmente maquillaje de estas características, agradeceré vuestras recomendaciones enormemente.
Hay algunas marcas y productos concretos que me gustaría probar y no sé si hacer un post a modo "lista de deseos", ¿Qué os parece la idea?
