New York City Bands are a drug!!

I must admit that I always had and still have a weakness for the bad boys in Rock’n’Roll. Those type of guys that can wear make up but have a bad ass attitude and still kick ass when needed. There’s something intriguing about it and to me it never gets old..Having a great array of songs of course helps…..Ha,Ha, but the creativity behind such bands is what I treasure the most.

I have to rewind back to my favorite time in Rock’n’Roll, and that’s the New York City music scene of 1994 when clubs like The Palladium, Cat Club, Limelight, Danceteria and La’mours were over flowing with sleazy glamor of sometimes talentless bands…Some shows were unforgettable, and some were worse then the cheapest horror film, but if I had a chance I would do it all over again. This time period had a defining moment in my life. I had my very first record company called”Ritual Records” and I was ready to infect the world with glam Rock. New York City had some of the best like: Lovemaker, Lethal Lipstick, Skin and Bones, Shanghai Lilly, Spiral Fetish, Tommy and the Love Tribe, The Throbs. These are the bands that kept the New York Music scene going, and you had to be from New York to know who they were, but once they captured you with their magic, you knew you were in for the long haul. Luckily I was able to find a few decent videos from that era and I like to share them with all of you!!!
