Oporto

Este verano tuve la enorme suerte de poder pasar un fin de semana largo en Porto / Oporto (Portugal) y me quedé prendada de esta preciosa ciudad.

No es un secreto que me encantan las poblaciones con agua y esta a la que le surca el Duero en su desembocadura al oceáno es una preciosidad.

Oporto tiene el encanto de la historia, de sus edificios bonitos y vividos, de sus cuestas y calles empedradas y de sus puentes y barcos pero, sobre todo, tiene el encanto de su gente. Creo que son los habitantes más amables que me he encontrado nunca. Agradables, siempre dispuestos a ayudar, a mezclar dos lenguas hermanas y a ofrecerte una sonrisa.

La gente de Oporto te hace querer la ciudad y quedarte en ella.

Nos alojamos al otro lado del río, en Afurada (parte de la MARAVILLOSA Vila Nova de Gaia). Un pueblo pesquero de casas de colores y lleno de gente sencilla y acogedora. Si podéis ir, cruzad el puente y visitarla porque merece mucho la pena.

La comida es otro tesoro nacional portugués, no podéis iros sin comer bacalao en sus decenas de elaboraciones y todos los postres que podáis. ¡Qué bien los prepararan!

Y por último, intentad disfrutar de los puestos callejeros y de conversar con sus gentes... Si lo hacéis, querréis volver.

This summer I had the great opportunity to enjoy a weekend-break in Porto (Portugal) and I feel in love with this beautiful city.

It is not a secret that I love the town surronded by water and this one that the Douro River crosses in its mouth to the ocean is a preciousness.

Porto has the charm of history, of its beautiful and vivid buildings, its slopes and cobbled streets and its bridges and boats but, above all, it has the charm of its people. I think they are the friendliest inhabitants I have ever met. Pleasant, always ready to help, to mix two twinned languages ​​and to offer you a smile.

The people of Porto make you love the city and want to stay in.

We stayed on the other side of the river, in Afurada (AWESOME part of Vila Nova de Gaia county). A fishing village with colorful houses and full of easygoing and welcoming people. If you can go, cross the bridge and visit it because it's worth it.

The food is another Portuguese national treasure, you can not go without eating cod in its dozens of elaborations and all the desserts that you can. How well they prepared them!

And finally, try to enjoy the street stalls and talk with their people ... If you do, you will want to return.
