Organize your wardrobe

Es momento de empezar con el cambio de armario, el verano se va y el otoño nos acecha. Ahora toca hacer de tu armario tu gran aliado, añadiendo lo que necesitas y eliminando aquello que te sobra. / It's time to start changing your closet, summer weather is flying away while fall temperature is just around the corner. You should make your closet your best allied, adding what you need and taking out what is no longer useful. 



El truco, para no tener síndrome pos-verano, es disfrutar de estos cambios de looks y de las tendencias de la nueva temporada. / To catch on, to avoid the post-summer syndrome, is to enjoy the changes of looks and the new season trends. 


Claves de la nueva temporada a tener en cuenta: / Clues to consider for the new season: 
- Tejidos nocturnos que brillan durante el día. Son la estrella de la temporada. Los tejidos nocturnos brillan durante todo el día: terciopelo, encaje, metalizados, lames. Póntelos con micro-estampados o mezclalos con tejido vaquero. / Evening fabrics that shine during the whole day. They are the star of the season. The night fabrics shine during the day: velvet, lace, metallic and lame. Wear them with microprints or denim. 
- Tendencia loungewear: se trata de vestir como si estuvieras en casa: prendas holgadas, sencillas, tonos neutros, lana y algodón. / Lounge-wear trend: the idea is to dress as if you were in your home: wide garments, simple, in neutral colors, wool and cotton. 
- Espíritu 70: el estilo boho destaca con piel vuelta, maxicardigans y vestidos etéreos. / 70's spirit: the boho style highlight with double-face skin, oversize cardigans, and ethereal dresses.


- No te olvides de los cuadros, las rayas, y el tejido vaquero. Están muy de moda. / Don't forget about squares, stripes and denim. They are so in. 


Como descartar prendas o quedarte con ellas: / How to throw away pieces or keep them:
Por mucho que deseáramos vivir dentro de Sexo en Nueva York, no somos Carrie ni ninguna de las chicas. Así que aunque nos cueste admitirlo lo único que tenemos en común con ellas a la hora de organizar nuestro armario con el cambio de temporada, son los montones de guardar o tirar. / As we might wanted to live inside Sex and the City, we are not Carrie or any of the girls. So even if is hard to admit the only point we have in common with them when it comes to organize our closet with the new season are the piles of toss or take. 
Lo ideal es sacar todo de tu armario y empezar pieza a pieza. En mi caso, lo que hago es ir prenda a prenda, sin sacar aquellas de las que estoy completamente convencida que me sientan bien, y que me gustan mucho. / The best is to take all out of the closet and start pice by pice. In my case, what I do is go garment by garment, without getting out of the closet those I am completely convince I love and that they fit me perfectly.


Si te encuentras con esas prendas que te hacen dudar, el truco esta en ponértelas y hacerte las siguientes preguntas: / If you got those garments that make you dude, the trick is to try them on and once you do it, you should ask yourself the following questions:
¿Te gusta?; ¿te ves con ella?; ¿te sienta bien?; ¿puedes combinarla con otras prendas o accesorios de tu armario?; ¿cuál es la última vez que te lo pusiste? ; ¿para que la conservas en tu armario? / Do you like it?; do you see yourself wearing it?; it fits you right?; can you mix it with other fabrics or accessories of your closet?; when was the last time you had wear it?; for what you keep it? 

Tips para organizar tu armario: / Tips to organize your closet: 
- La ropa ocupa menos doblada. / Clothes keep less space fold.
- No apiles demasiado en las baldas, máximo 30 cm. / Don't pile too much, no more than 18,8 inches (30 cm). 

- Si apilas pon debajo lo mas pesado y mas grande. / If you pile put underneath the most heavy and bigger.
- Para los cajones prueba a guardar las prendas en vertical, se arrugan menos y se ven mas. / For the drawers try to keep garments in vertical, they get less wrinkles and you would be able to see them better. 

- Intenta organizar las prendas por categorías y de ahí por tonos o estilos. Ojo! Si tienes dos prendas que son de una mismo conjunto sepáralas, hará que tengas más visión y puedas combinarlas con otras piezas de tu armario. / Try to organize fabrics by category and once you do it by tones or style.Watch out! If you have a set keep each piece a part so you will have more perspective and it would be easy to wear them with other garments of your closet. 

- Las piezas pequeñas como fulares, pañuelos y cinturones se guardan muy bien en cestos o cajas. / Small pieces such as scarves or belts are great organize in boxes or hampers.

- Para los bolsos intenta guardaros todos juntos, organizalos por estilos y tonos. Y aunque se conservan mejor en fundas, es mas difícil identificarlos si están en ellas. El truco: guarda en fundas solo tus mejores bolsos pero tenlos identificados siempre mentalmente. / For purses try keep them all together, organize them by styles and colors. Even they are keep better in their cover, is harder if they are in them. The trick: keep only in cases your best bags but you should have them identify mentally. 



- Organiza tus zapatos por tipos: botas, botines, salones, de fiesta... / Organize your shoes by types: boots, booties, pumps, party shoes...
