Oz, the great and powerful: Fashion and Film

La moda y el cine nunca estuvieron tan de la mano como en la presentación de la nueva película de Disney, "Oz, el Poderoso". Bajo el nombre "Imagine Oz, Fashion Tutorial" estudiantes de diseño de la UBA, UADE y Siglo XXI tuvieron la posibilidad de recrear bajo su visión los trajes usados por los protagonistas de la película para una sesión de fotos y muestra al público dentro del marco del BAF Week. Pero no estuvieron solos, bajo la ayuda de diseñadores de renombre internacional fueron asistidos en cada paso del proceso.
Los estudiantes Marcelo Yarussi, Clara Borghetti, Rocío Vergerio, Agustina De Souza y Mayte Stevani, de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), con la guía de Evangelina Bomparola, se encargaron de las brujas “Glinda” y “Theodora”. Belén Zocola, María Laura Salguero, Carla Cocchiarella, Cynthia Schindler y Cecilia Aguilar, concursantes de la Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), liderados por Garza Lobos, realizaron los trajes de “Oz”, con su incansable búsqueda por la grandeza, y de la “Niña de Porcelana”, con su característica fragilidad. En cambio, Melanie Bacaloni, Santiago Herrera, Emilia Galli, María José Cerezoli, Luz Peralta y Candela Gutiérrez, alumnos de la Universidad Siglo 21, bajo la dirección de Vero Ivaldi, trabajaron con los personajes de la fuerte “Evanora” y la complicidad de “Finley”, el mono alado.

Oz, El Poderoso

El cine es mi primera pasión, es la cuna donde nació mi amor por el arte y la fotografía por lo que ser invitada para presenciar la primera función de "Oz, El Poderoso" antes de que se estrene en Argentina no era algo que me iba a perder. Realmente fui sin pre concepto alguno y me encontré con algo mejor de lo que podía llegar a imaginar. Respaldada bajo el equipo de Disney, "Oz, El Poderoso" muestra una avanzada calidad de imagen donde el mundo fantasioso de Oz cobra vida en el instante que la pantalla toma color. El realismo de los personajes fantásticos es impresionante y la "Niña de Porcelana" es el mejor ejemplo. Las actuaciones se  encuentran exageradas en la medida justa para crear personajes que tanto grandes y chicos pueden disfrutar. Mi personaje preferido fue el interpretado por Mila Kunis: la bruja Theodora, que navega entre el bien y el mal con cambios de vestuario más que interesantes y un maquillaje envidiable. Sin dudas, y como amante de la moda que soy, el vestuario de la película se lleva mis aplausos. Para finalizar y como recomendación les sugiero si van a verla al cine opten por la opción 3D, no se van a arrepentir.
Cinema is my first love, is the home where my love for art and photography was born so being invited to witness the first performance of "Oz, The Great and Powerful" before it debuts in Argentina was not something that I would miss. I was really with no pre concept at all and I found something better than I could ever expect. Supported under the Disney team, "Oz, The Great and Powerful" shows an advanced picture quality where the fantasy world of Oz comes to life on the screen instantly when the colors appear. The realism of the fantastic characters is amazing and "Porcelain Girl" is the best example. The performances are exaggerated in the right size to create characters that both kids and adults can enjoy. My favorite was played by Mila Kunis: the witch Theodora, which is between good and evil with interesenting costume changes and enviable makeup. Undoubtedly, as the fashion lover that I am, the costumes of the film take my applause. To finish and a recommendation I suggest if you are going to see a movie opt for the 3D, you will not regret it.
