En un satsang celebrada en la presencia divina en California 20 de junio de 2016; un devoto preguntó cuándo llegará a ser libre de toda la violencia interna América. Y esto es lo que dijo Swami:
Pregunta 1 : Swami, estoy preocupado por la violencia y el odio que vemos, con tanta ilusión en nuestro país. Hoy en día, nuestro Congreso no aprobará ninguna ley de control de pistola y nos pareció que tenía una oportunidad de las cosas que cambian. Los niños están siendo asesinados, junto con los adultos y personas de diferentes creencias, y que sólo parece que tales actos de violencia al azar están sucediendo dentro de nuestro país. Está sucediendo en otros países, también, pero estoy preocupado por América. ¿Qué hay en el almacén para nosotros?
Swami : Las estaciones están cambiando ahora. La violencia siempre ha estado presente en la tierra; fue allí durante el tiempo de Rama y era también allí en vez de Krishna. Estaba presente en Estados Unidos hace 50 años y todavía está presente en la actualidad. Sin embargo, debido a que son más conscientes de ello, le parece que es más de lo mismo ahora. Siempre estaba ahí - pero, como dije, lenta y seguramente, más gente va a darse cuenta de donde han salido mal y lo que ha llevado a los problemas; van a regresar a la raíz de todos los problemas y eso es bueno. Tienes que pensar en lo que ha causado; lo que las cosas han ido mal - y lo que le llevará de nuevo a la forma en que debe ser.
Que el pensamiento comienza a desarrollarse; más y más líderes se reunirán para entender el problema. Van a encontrar soluciones a todos los problemas, no sólo Estados Unidos, sino a los problemas de todo el mundo, lo que lleva a una vida más moral y espiritual - y eso tiene que suceder; es el momento para ello. Son cuestiones que siempre han existido - no es nada nuevo - y pueden seguir existiendo, en cierta medida, desde hace algún tiempo.
¿Qué va a cambiar todo el proceso del pensamiento, es cuando la gente ve su propio sufrimiento familiares y parientes, su propia vida en peligro. Seguros de su propio futuro, van a hacer la pregunta, "¿Qué hemos hecho en los últimos cien años y lo que debemos hacer en los próximos cien?" Un pequeño cambio en el escenario político, un pequeño cambio en el escenario social, dará lugar a todos estos cambios en el futuro. Como ya he dicho, algunas cosas tienen que ser demolida con el fin de construir de nuevo, y estos temas son parte de eso; ambos son parte del proceso. Llevará tiempo, pero está cambiando para bien. Hay esperanza. -

In a satsang held in the divine presence at California, 20 June 2016; a devotee asked when will America become free from all the internal violence. And here is what Swami said:
Question 1: Swami, I am concerned about the violence and hatred that we see, with such delusion in our country. Today, our Congress will not pass any gun-control legislation and we thought we had a chance of things changing. Children are being killed, together with adults and people of different beliefs, and it just seems that such random acts of violence are happening within our country. It is happening in other countries, too, but I'm concerned about America. What is in store for us?
Swami: The seasons are changing now. Violence has always been present on earth; it was there during Rama's time and it was also there in Krishna's time. It was present in America 50 years ago and is still present today. However, because you are more aware of it, you think there is more of it now. It was always there – but, as I said, slowly and surely, more people will realize where they have gone wrong and what has led to the issues; they will return to the root of all the problems and that is good. You have to think what has caused it; what things have gone wrong – and what will take you back to the way it should be.
That thinking will start to develop; more and more leaders will come together to understand the issue. They will find solutions to all the problems, not only America but to the whole world's problems, leading to a more moral and spiritual life – and that has to happen; it is time for it. They are issues that have always existed – it is nothing new – and may continue to exist, to an extent, for some time.
What will change the whole thought process, is when people see their own kith and kin suffering, their own lives under threat. Uncertain of their own future, they will ask the question, "What have we done in the last hundred years and what ought we to do in the next hundred?" A little change in the political scenario, a little change in the social scenario, will bring about all these changes in the future. As I said, some things have to be demolished in order to build anew, and these issues are a part of that; both are part of the process. It will take time, but it is changing for the good. There is hope. --
