Con la llegada de la primavera y el verano también llegan los espectáculos de rodeo a Estados Unidos, sin duda el evento más estadounidense, que entronca directamente con las raíces culturales de este país. Puro Western.
Estos son 10 de los mejores rodeos a los que puede asistir. No sabrá lo que es un auténtico rodeo hasta que vea uno en directo.

1. Rodeo Houston - Houston, TX
Not only does this arena open their door to some of country music's biggest artists, they know how to put on a dang good show. They invest huge efforts in their livestock and make it a point to have fans of all ages shake hands with their favorite cowboys. Rodeo Houston also keeps safety one of their highest priorities. You don't have to worry about seeing something go wrong. They were also inducted into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame. They have made Texans all around real proud.

2. Reno Rodeo - Reno, NV
Get ready for the wildest rodeo the west has to offer. Reno Rodeo has a rich history of champions that started way back in 1919. Clearly, they've been doing this for a long time. They also have tons to offer the little tikes, so no one gets bored. Also, you may not know that Reno Rodeo is a nonprofit organization. Join the hands-on volunteer program to get a little closer to the riders and inside the action. They rely heavily on the support of fans, and a portion of the proceeds goes to the Reno Rodeo Foundation.

3. Bryce Canyon Country Rodeo - Bryce Canyon, UT
What's so great about this rodeo? Too many things to count. However, a major bonus is that you can stay on the grounds right near the action. Ruby's Inn hosts this unbelievably fun rodeo event all summer. Spend the day site seeing around the canyon and the nights watching cowboys take on the bull. Don't forget about those cowgirls, either. They'll be trying their luck in the events as well, like the barrel races. Plus, you can take a ride on the wild side yourself. They offer chances at bull riding, steer riding and sheep riding.

4. Davie Pro Rodeo - Davie, FL
If you're near Florida, then this is the rodeo for you. They were voted the No. 1 rodeo in the state of Florida in 2010. This rodeo is near some incredible activities and sites. You have beaches and ports that are close by. Davie offers a unique downtown area with a spark of western culture. Visit the Cowboy Saloon after the show for the official rodeo after party. You'll get the chance to shake hands with the stars of the week.

5. Ellensburg Rodeo - Ellensburg, WA
Get ready for a fun-filled weekend. Ellensburg hosts an outrageous getaway packed with activities for all ages. You'll be on the edge of your seat with the Xtreme Bull Tour. This event is the finale of the rodeo weekend. 40 of the craziest riders from all around the world will try their best to win. It's a pretty big deal, considering the purse is $40,000. Between the shows, you can visit the fair, and don't miss the parade either. On Sunday, they even have a church service that is open to the public. This is a weekend custom made for a country family.

6. Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo - Cheyenne, WY
Wyoming alone is a reason to visit this rodeo. Fortunately for you, it's also one of the world's largest and most profitable rodeos to attend. Their bull riding championship is no joke. The title is one that every cowboy dreams about. Riders can rake in over $1 million in cash and prizes. So you know the stakes are high, and the pressure is even higher. From tie-down roping to steer wrestling and team roping, there are more than enough events to blow your mind. There are also plenty of late night spots after you've gotten your fill of all the amazing scenery and events.

7. Pendleton Round-Up - Pendleton, OR
The Pendleton Round-up has been going strong since 1910. Now, it's a full week of awesomeness. A parade kicks off all the events, and then it's all downhill from there with one wild ride after another. What's really amazing about this particular rodeo is the children's rodeo they feature. This event is free of charge and open to all special needs children. It gives every kid, no matter their differences, an opportunity to be real cowboys and cowgirls. Yee haw to that!

8. The Greeley Stampede Rodeo - Greeley, CO
It takes a lot of courage to get on a 2,000 pound animal. It takes even more courage when that animal is bucking you around like a jackhammer, as the Greeley Rodeo compares it to. They host a classic rodeo filled with all your favorite events including bull riding, a popular event for most fans. If these cowboys don't make your head spin, take a visit to the carnival. One of those traditional spinning rides will have you sitting on the sidelines. Plus, The Band Perry andKenny Rogers will be there performing among other incredible artists.

9. Wrangler National Finals Rodeo - Las Vegas, NV
First, you're in Las Vegas, and the Vegas strip is already a site to behold. Second, for fans who live for roping and riding, this rodeo is definitely top notch. National Finals Rodeo puts 15 of the most courageous riders together to compete for a multi-millions dollar purse. For all you social media fanatics, this rodeo caters to you. Follow all the action live in the "Social Arena," where they Instagram and Tweet things you might have missed during the shows. Plus, there's a free and easy shuttle to take you all around.

10. World's Oldest Rodeo - Prescott, AZ
Fireworks are awesome, but what's more American than celebrating July 4th at the World Oldest Rodeo? Not much. The name definitely fits. These guys have been putting on the best country shows since 1888. They know how to entertain and show you a good time. Back in those days they called it a "Cowboy Tournament." Since then, it's grown into a full on western experience. If you're looking for a traditional rodeo show, you've found it. Sick back and enjoy all the thrills these cowboys and cowgirls will bring you. There are quite a lot!
