SERIES - ELTONmanía - Mandalay Again

En un mundo contenporáneo, escribo sobre esta hermosa canción de un gran músico, exponente musical y productor de seis décadas.Pero este tema no porta el crédito de Elton solamente.Mandalay Again es el tema número decimocuarto dentro del álbum The Union; grabación de estudio de una famosa colaboración y composición entre Elton (y Bernie Taupin) y el cantautor, compositor, pianista y guitarrista estadounidense Leon Russell.
La producción discográfica de Leon Russell es muy, muy similar y comparable a la de Elton.Luego, en Noviembre de 2009, Russell compuso junto a Elton y Taupin canciones para este álbum "The Union", que salió a la luz el 22 de Octubre de 2010, y alcanzó el tercer puesto en las listas estadounidenses de álbumes.
En la actualidad, Leon Russell tiene 73 años de edad, mientras Elton tiene 68.Mandalay Again, como es entendible, es un tema que habla de la madurez actual; de tiempos vividos que conservan un gran valor y que se pueden repetir en el contexto del inmenso valor del tiempo y de la actualidad.No estoy seguro a cual Mandalay la canción hace referencia, pero existe un hotel muy lujoso en Las Vegas (Nevada) llamado Mandalay Bay.Mandalay es también la segunda ciudad (en tamaño) de Birmania (o Myanmar), país continental del sudeste asiático, limítrofe con China, Tailandia, India y Bangladesh.Birmania solía ser una colonia británica.
En todo caso, me gustaría encontrar el tiempo denuevo, y pretender que estamos en Mandalay denuevo.Que disfruten de esta hermosa canción.
