For weeks now my family practice clinic has been on minimum service. What does that mean?
Due to the overload of public health procedures, sick leave and issues related to the coronavirus we are saturated and I cannot provide the usual service. As there are no substitutes to cover sick leave, nor has there been any kind of extraordinary reinforcement, I can only offer a minimum service of family and community medicine.
This is expected to get worse in the coming weeks.
Remember that the health centre will always be available to you 24 hours a day if you become really ill or suffer from a health emergency. In that case, go in person.
2. If the discomfort is not so intense, we recommend that you call. A nurse or doctor will assess your case.
3. If you need to resolve an administrative issue such as prescriptions, sick leave, reports, etc., you can telephone, leave a note in the administrative area or send your request by post to the attention of your nurse or doctor of reference.
Given the emergency health situation, administrative issues may be delayed as it is necessary to prioritise the care of the sick.
