Sólo Química

El pasado martes asistí al rodaje de Sólo Química, una comedia romántica dirigida por Alfonso Albacete y protagonizada por Ana Fernández, Alejo Sauras y Rodrigo Guirao, al que admiro especialmente. Aun a riesgo de que pueda sonar a quinceañera dominada por las hormonas —que algo de eso habrá también—, en cuanto vi la oportunidad de colaborar como parte de la figuración en este proyecto no lo dudé un instante. Quienes conozcáis cómo funcionan los rodajes sabréis que, aunque interesantes, son bastante sacrificados: la magia del cine no brilla tan intensamente cuando se ve más de cerca. Por eso es entonces cuando uno entiende y valora el enorme trabajo al que se enfrentan los actores en su día a día. Durante la tarde y noche del martes, por ejemplo, vivimos horas y horas de lluvia constante, frío, dolor de cabeza e interminables ratos muertos entre grabación y grabación.
A pesar de los contratiempos he seguido siempre en contacto con el mundo del cine y de la imagen. Sin embargo, mis estudios de japonés y alemán, la traducción de novelas, mi trabajo como periodista de moda y mis colaboraciones como estilista o maniquí improvisado no me dejan mucho margen para asistir a figuraciones. Hasta la llegada de Rodrigo a nuestro país, claro. Posiblemente alguno de vosotros no conozca a este actor argentino que bien podría haber nacido en el Olimpo de los Dioses. Sí, quizás su atributo más evidente sea su físico. A priori. Porque a raíz de verlo en series argentinas, de conocer su trabajo en países vecinos como Italia y de disfrutar recientemente de su trabajo en España indagué más profundamente en su carrera y también en su faceta como músico. El bichito periodístico, que lo llevo en la sangre.
La decisión más sensata será abstenerme de alabar sus cualidades y simplemente animaros a que las descubráis por vosotros mismos, no querría convertir este espacio en un club de fans improvisado. Si os pica la curiosidad, seguid sus perfiles de Twitter e Instagram y buscad sus increíbles interpretaciones musicales por la red. Evidentemente me habría encantado poder incluir en este postuna foto con él o con Ana, pero por nada del mundo me habría gustado interrumpir su trabajo. Ana, además (a quien también he seguido la pista desde su aparición en Los Protegidos) estaba resfriada y visiblemente cansada después de más de doce horas de trabajo. A destacar, pues, la profesionalidad y el amor por su trabajo. Ojalá en un futuro no muy lejano encuentre la oportunidad de felicitar a ambos personalmente. Por el momento voy a ir popularizando el movimiento #Rodrigoquédate.
Y no podría, ni debería, obviar la mención a todo el equipo que trabaja en Sólo Química. Desde quienes se encargan de llevar las cuentas de Twitter e Instagram, que siempre responden y tratan con cariño a fans y a seguidores, hasta quienes nos hicieron el rodaje muchísimo más ameno, en especial a Anna, de la agencia ASG, a Fernando, que me alegró la noche interpretándome diálogos INVENTADOS entre Rodrigo y el director sobre algo que sólo nosotros sabemos y a Jesús, que se dedicó a hacernos de paragüero oficial, de perseguirnos en maquillaje y peluquería e indicarnos qué hacer en el set. ¡Gracias a todos y ánimo! Nos vemos en los cines disfrutando del resultado.
Last Tuesday I attended a shooting for the Spanish movie Sólo Química, a romantic comedy directed by Alfonso Albacete and starred by Ana Fernández, Alejo Sauras and Rodrigo Guirao, who I especially admire. Even though I may look like a fifteen-year-old girl dominated by hormones —there must probably be some of that as well—, when I found the opportunity to collaborate as an extra I didn’t hesitate it for a second. Those of you who know what a shooting is like will know that although it is kind of interesting it is also very demanding: the magic of the cinema isn’t so when you look closer. Then one understands and appreciates the enormous work that actors do every day. Last Tuesday, for example, it rained for hours, we were freezing, our feet hurt and we spent long lost hours between shoots.
Despite the setbacks I have always been in contact with the world of films and advertising. However, as I study Japanese and German, translate novels for a publishing house, work as a fashion journalist, as a stylist and as a mannequin sometimes I have no time to work as an extra. And then Rodrigo arrived to Spain. Maybe some of you won't know this actor who was born in Argentina but could have been born in the Olympus. Yes, perhaps his most obvious attribute is his appearance. A priori. Because then I discovered his work in TV series in Argentina, in Italy and lately in Spain and I also investigated more deeply in his career as a musician. I may have the journalistic bug running through my blood.
The most sensible decision will be refraining from praising his qualities and simply encouraging you to discover them for yourselves; I wouldn't want to turn this space into an improvised fan club. If you are curious just follow his Twitter and Instagram account and look for his incredible musical performances. I would have obviously loved to include in this post a picture with Rodrigo and Ana, but I would have hated to interrupt their work. Ana, who I have also followed since her appearance in the Spanish TV series called “Los Protegidos” had a cold and was visibly tired after more than 12 hours working. Be noted their professionalism and the love for their job. Hopefully in the near future I will be able to find the opportunity to congratulate both of them personally. At the moment I'm going to try to popularize the movement #RodrigoStayinSpain
And I shouldn’t forget to mention the team from Sólo Química. From those responsible for the Twitter and Instagramaccount —who always treat fans and followers with affection— to the people who made the filming much more enjoyable, especially Anna —from ASG—, Fernando —that made my night so much fun making up dialogues between Rodrigo and the director about something just the two of us know— and Jesús —who was our umbrella-man, chased us while doing our makeup and hairstyling and helped us a lot on set—.
