¡Straight Line Designs!

El diseño de mobiliario es otra de las competencias interesantes que tenemos los arquitectos. Un mundo que convive en paralelo con el de la construcción, y que tan necesario es para "vestir" nuestros proyectos.

La pequeña escala a la que nos enfrentamos al proyectar un mueble, nos permite muchas veces fantasear y proponer diseños más arriesgados como los que, desde hace 25 años, produce el equipo de Straight Line Designs.


Dirigidos por Judson Beaumont, este equipo de ocho diseñadores (Vacouver, British Columbia), crea muebles de calidad y a medida, para instituciones públicas y para exposiciones de los niños, en América del Norte y en el extranjero. Podemos verlos en hospitales, aeropuertos, centros de día, áreas de juegos y los hogares de sus clientes.
Si hay algo que define bien la filosofía de esta empresa, es la frase que el propio Judson Beaumont publica en su web: "My rule is: if you can draw and design it, you can build it. I love it when someone tells me that, 'You cannot build that' or 'No one would want that'. These words only encourage me more."
