Surf, friends & Fashion (By Clotílde V.S)

California, Australia, Maldives, and also Mundaka, Zarautz, Sopelana! Here in the Basque country we have a lot of fans of this sport, and some weeks ago i told my surfer friends to tell me where they buy their clothes, which brands they like, and where they go when they have free time! Thanks to A.G, Little Magdalene, M.S and G.P who helped me to write this post.
First i'm going to suggest you some interesting brands not only of fashion, like Billabong, Volcom, Insight, Fenchurch, or the basque one Pukas (this one is a surf school, and surfboar manufacter), but also a great ones of sunglasses or shoes as Electric, Von Zipper, or DC shoes. Because to get the right surfer look, it's not enought with a shirt and a pair of jeans!
Every holy week, all my friends (those of i'm taling today, my surfer friends...hahaha) go to Hossegor and St Jean de Luz (France) to buy those brands with highs discounts. They usually buy suitcases to put in all the clothes, as shorts, shoes, shirts, trousers and surf suits (not very sure if this is right written..sorry!). If you don't like to go shopping, it doesn't matter, there are a very nice village and beaches to visit, and also to eat oysters and mussels!
This year, from 18th (today!) to 25th april in St Jean de Luz, with Quicksilver, Roxy y DC brands. And from 22th to 25th aprinl in Hossegor, with Mada - Globe - Oxbow - Kanabeach - Sooruz - Quicksilver - Pull-in - A2Z - Dickies - Bananamoon - Thc - Krew - Volcom - Billabong - Ethnies - DDP - Insight - Carhartt - O'neill - Electric - Vestal - Element - Supra - Vans - DCshoes - Rip Curl - Circa - Split - Roxy - Nixon - V7...

Aquí en el País Vasco tenemos un montón de seguidores de este deporte, y hace unas semanas, hablando con mis amigos los más surferos, les pregunté dónde se compraban la ropa, qué firmas les gustaban, y dónde iban cuando tenian tiempo libre! Gracias a A.G, Little Magdalene, M.S y G.P que me ayudaron para escribir este post.Primero, voy a sugeriros algunas firmas de lo más interesantes, no sólo en textil, como Billabong, Volcom, Insight, Fenchurch o la firma vasca Pukas (ésta además de vender prendas y complementos, es fabricante de tablas de surf) pero también algunas de gafas de sol, o de calzado como Electric, Von Zipper, o DC shoes. Porque para conseguir un look de lo más 'surfero' no basta con una camiseta y un par de vaqueros!Cada semana santa, mis amigos (éstos de los que hoy os hablo...jajaja) suelen ir a Hossegor y a San Juan de Luz (Francia) para comprar estas firmas con unos descuentos increibles. Normalmente, se compran una maleta, y empiezan ameter ropa, y maaaaás ropa, y por supuesto, trajes de surf. Si no os gusta ir de compritas, o directamente pasais del surf, os recomiendo la escapada, los pueblecitos y als playas son preciosas y podeis comer ostras y mejillones!
