Vampiros, damas negras, criaturas oscuras, todos ellos convergen para dar paso a una nueva tendencia para este otoño 2012; el neo-gótico. Si eres de las que piensan que el negro es aburrido, ya es hora de que cambies el chip. / We move to a dark world, where fairytale are mix with terror. Vampires, black ladies, dark creatures, all of them converge to make a way for a new fall 2012 trend: neo-gothic. If you think black is boring, it’s about time to change that.
En el siglo XVIII las novelas góticas empezaron a tener cierto protagonismo, poco a poco ese mundo misterioso, oscuro y escondido se convirtió en algo deseable, codiciado, y fascinante. En el siglo XIX, su máximo representante fue Bram Stoker, con su novela Dracula escrita en 1897. La industria del cine se apodero de este mundo oscuro en el siglo XX, primero fue Nosferatum, luego Dracula, la Familia Adams, y por ultimo Anne Rice y sus vampiros. Es curioso como la propia escritora de Nueva Orleans, describia a sus vampiros como seres inteligentes, poderosos, fascinantes, atractivos y les denotaba un carácter erótico, algo que ha sido tomado después por la famosa saga de Crepúsculo, y la serie True Blood. / During the 18th century gothic novels began to have some prominence, gradually that mysterious, dark and hidden world become something desirable, coveted, and fascinating. In the 19th century, Bram Stoker was the man, with his novel Dracula that was writing in 1897. The film industry gripped this dark world in the 19th century, first with Nosferatum, then was Dracula, the Adams Family, and the latest Anne Rice and her vampires. Bizarre how the New Orleans’ writer described her vampires as intelligent, powerful, fascinating, attractive and denoted them as erotic, something that has been copy by the popular Twilight series, and the show True Blood.

Por otro lado, los cuentos de nuestras juventud, han crecido y se están convirtiendo en historias oscuras, no aptas para los que tienen pesadillas. Caperucita, ya no es nada inocente; Maléfica es la protagonista de su propia historia; y Blanca Nieves es mas peligrosa que su madrastra. / On the other side, our childhood tales has grow up too, and turn into dark stories, no for those how have nightmares. Centrándonos mas en la moda, no nos podemos olvidar de la tribu urbana de los góticos, un colectivo cuya vestimenta, siempre negra, parece sacada de una película de Francis Ford Copola. Pero ademas tenemos que recordar que durante la decada de los 90 en Seattle se establecio el estilo grunche; donde se mezclaba el aire zombie con ese carácter rebelde. Otros elementos que han formado parte de la moda, que podemos recopilar como góticos han sido las camisas románticas, con aire muy vampiresco; las botas altas; los guantes hasta el codo, y otras piezas que si nos fijamos están sacadas de ese concepto romántico y misterioso. / Focus more in fashion, we can’t forget about the urban gothic community, a group whose clothing is always black and seems to be part of some Francis Ford Copola movie. But we also have to remind that during the 90′s the grunch style was set in Seattle; they mix the zombie-like air with a rebel character. Other items that have been part of fashion and we can consider them as gothic are romantic shirts with vamp air; high ridding boots; long gloves; and other pieces that if we think about have that romantic and mysterious statement.

Muchas revistas de moda, han echo de esta tendencia una tematica de portada, y es que el gótico, no deja indiferente a nadie. / Plenty of magazines, have make of this trend a cover, gothic doesn’t leave anyone indifferent.
Si te plantearas como llevar esta tendencia, todo depende de tu imaginación y creatividad. No podemos olvidarnos que en toda novela gótica hay dos personajes: el dulce e inocente, y el malvado; la bruja malvada. A cual quieres parecerte? / If you want to know how to wear this trend, all is up to your imagination and creativity. We can forget that in any gothic tale are two characters: the sweet and innocent, and the evil; the dark evil witch. Which one you want to look like?
