It wasn’t until well after high school that I developed a passion for reading. There were only a few books that I read during my childhood and in high school that I actually remember and enjoyed. These are my top ten favorite books of all time, starting from my favorites as a kid to my most recent favorites (romance obviously!):

1) Where the Wild Things Are, Maurice Sendak
Because every kid wanted to be “King of the Wild Things!”

2) The Giving Tree, Shel Silverstein
A simple, beautifully written story about selfless love.

The only reason why I read these two books was because they were part of the curriculum in high school, but they turned out to be two of my most favorite reads.

6) The Notebook, Nicholas Sparks
The “game-changer.” As cheesy as it sounds, this book changed my life. Ever since I picked up that book, I haven’t stopped reading.

One of my most favorite second-chance romances.

I love EVERYTHING Colleen, but she knocked this one out of the park for me.

10) Me Before You, Jojo Moyes
This book. There aren’t enough words to describe how much I love this book. It’s the most unconventional love story but also the most romantic I’ve ever read. If you’re looking for a book hangover, then look no further.
