-Would will be publish "Hemlock trilogy" in Spain?
Hemlock doesn’t yet have a publisher in Spain, but I would LOVE for the book to be released there. It would be amazing to see my book translated into such a beautiful language.
- How would you define your book in one sentence?
Hemlock is about friendship, lies, and werewolves.
- I see in your bio that you wrote about vampires, we can see this short histories that you wrote in a page?do you like publish it?
I was obsessed with vampire novels (particularly books like Anne Rice’s The Vampire Lestat) when I was a teenager. A lot of the short stories I wrote when I was fifteen and sixteen included brooding vampires trying to cope with their immortality.
None of them were ever published, and I’d probably cringe if I read them now. They were great practice, though. The short stories might not have been great, but I learned from writing them.
- You had an scene of the book way to work,wich were the next steps that you gave in the process of creation?
Hemlock started with an idea for one scene of three characters in a hospital room. After I decided that I wanted to write about those characters, I spent a lot of time thinking about who they were and what had brought them to that moment. I came up with an opening scene, a middle scene, and an end scene and then wrote a first draft based around those. The book went through multiple drafts and eventually I started using outlines.
- Dialogue is your favourite part of write, please can you say us , what is your favourite dialogue from the book?(if you can put a little fragment,please)
I’m not sure if it’s my favorite bit of dialogue, but I am very fond of this exchange:
He reached out and stroked my cheek with the back of his hand. “Are the dreams really that bad?”
Shivering, I nodded. “I’ve never had nightmares like these before.” Sometimes there were moments when Amy was herself—when it seemed like we were just hanging out—but the dreams always took horrific turns.
“You can call me, you know. If they get bad and you can’t sleep.”
I smiled. “You’re going to protect me from my subconscious, too?”
- Which part of the novel was the more difficult to write?

- When you have an idea for the next book and you are away from home,what are you doing?
I get a lot of ideas when I’m not purposefully thinking about writing and usually when I’m listening to music. I almost never leave home without my iPod and often get ideas when I’m out on walks or waiting for the bus.
- Apocalypsies, who are?
The Apocalypsies are a group of authors who write for children and young adults and who have debut books being published in 2012. Their website is http://apocalypsies.blogspot.com/

-¿Se va a publicar " La trilogia deHemlock " en España?
Hemlock no tiene todavía un editor en España, pero me gustaría que el libro fuera publicado allí. Sería increíble ver mi libro traducido a un idioma tan hermoso.
- ¿Cómo definiría su libro en una frase?
Hemlock va sobre la amistad, la mentira, y los hombres lobo.
- Veo en su biografía que escribió sobre vampiros,¿Podremos ver en alguna pagina estas historias que escribió?
Estaba obsesionada con las novelas de vampiros (en especial libros como los de Anne Rice "Lestat el vampiro"), cuando yo era una adolescente. Muchos de los cuentos que escribí cuando tenía quince y dieciséis eran de vampiros melancólicos tratando de lidiar con su inmortalidad.
Ninguno de ellos se han publicado nunca, y me estremezco, probablemente, si los leyera ahora. Fueron una gran práctica, sin embargo. Con los cuentos no podría haber sido grande, pero he aprendido escribiendolos.
- De camino a tu trabajo, se te vino a la mente una escena del libro, ¿Cuales fueron los siguientes pasos que diste para el proceso de creación?
Hemlock, comenzó con la idea de una escena de tres personajes en una habitación de hospital. Después decidí que quería escribir sobre los personajes, he pasado mucho tiempo pensando acerca de quiénes eran y qué les había llevado hasta ese momento. Se me ocurrió una escena, una escena intermedia, y una escena final y luego escribi un primer borrador en torno a ellos. El libro pasó por varios borradores y, finalmente, comencé a usar esquemas.

No estoy seguro si es mi parte favorita del diálogo, pero yo soy muy aficionado a este intercambio:
Extendió la mano y me acarició la mejilla con el dorso de su mano. "Realmente,estos sueños son tan malos?"
Temblando, asentí con la cabeza. "Nunca he tenido pesadillas como estas, antes." A veces, cuando parecía que estábamos pasando el tiempo, había momentos en que Amy parecía ella misma, pero los sueños siempre se volvian horribles.
"Ya sabes, puedes llamarme. Si te pones mal y no puedes dormir ".
Sonreí. "Ustedes van a protegerme de mi subconsciente, también?"
- ¿Qué parte de la novela fue la más difícil de escribir?
La mayor parte del libro gira en torno al misterio de quién mató a la mejor amiga de Amy, Mac. Creo que una de las partes más difíciles fue el averiguar qué pistas y cuándo.
- Cuando tiene una idea para el próximo libro y se encuentra lejos de casa, ¿Que suele hacer ?
Tengo un montón de ideas cuando no estoy pensando en escribir y por lo general cuando estoy escuchando música. Casi nunca salgo de casa sin mi iPod y, a menudo obtengo ideas cuando estoy caminando o esperando el autobús.
