Versiones extendidas de dos clásicos de rick wakeman

El uso pionero de los teclados electrónicos por parte de Rick Wakeman a principios de los setenta, provocó la creación de algunos de los álbumes más convincentes que el rock progresivo ha publicado durante su existencia. En 2015, además de una gira por el Reino Unido, Rick Wakeman va a reeditar dos de sus más exitosos álbumes: The Six Wives of Henry VIIIy The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.The Six Wives of Henry VIII fue el primer álbum de Rick, que entraría en el Top Ten de las listas británicas y ha vendido 15 millones de copias en todo el mundo. El álbum se basa en un asombroso ejercicio musical desarrollado en todos sus teclados y contiene la participación de sus compañeros en The Strawbs y Yes. Rick Wakeman se inspiró en el libro The Private Life of Henry VIII, de Nancy Brysson-Morris, un libro de cabecera de Wakeman desde su infancia. Logró el disco de oro en los Estados Unidos en 1975 y logró el disco de platino en Midem.Por su parte, el tercer álbum de Wakeman, King Arthur, logró el segundo puesto en las listas del Reino Unido nada más salir a la venta. Logró, además el puesto 21 en el Billboard americano y fue su tercer álbum consecutivo en conseguir el disco de oro.Ambos álbumes han sido remasterizados en los estudios Abbey Road de Londres y les acompaña un DVD con las mezclas cuadrafónicas de los temas de los álbumes. Además, existirá una edición en vinilo de ambos álbumes.
