Las oportunidades para trabajar habilidades de vida práctica se dan continuamente, y a veces tengo la suerte de tener la cámara, o el móvil como en este caso, a mano para inmortalizar el momento.
En uno de los primeros posts del blog os mostraba cómo Alejandro se ponía las zapatillas él solo, y ahora aquí lo tengo poniéndole las sandalias a su hermana, que como veis no pierde detalle del proceso!
En este tipo de momentos veo un montón de cosas… En Alejandro veo el amor por aprender y perfeccionar una habilidad, el interés por participar en las tareas familiares, la delicadeza con la que trata a su hermana y el gozo que le produce ser capaz de enseñarle lo que él sabe. Y en Sara veo esa maravillosa mente absorbente nutriéndose de todo lo que le rodea, de todo lo que nos ve hacer a nosotros y especialmente a su hermano. Cómo algo tan cotidiano puede implicar tantas cosas? Es la magia de la vida práctica Montessori.

Opportunities for working on practical life skills continually raise, and sometimes Ilucky enough to have my camera, or cellphone as in this case, on hand to capture the moment.
In one of my firsts posts I showed how Alejandro put his slippers on his own, and now here he is putting sandals on his sister’s feet, who as you can see, is not missing detail of the process!
In such moments I see a lot of things… In Alejandro I see the love for learning and perfecting a skill, interest in participating in the family routines, the gentleness with which he treats his sister and the joy he feels by feeling capable to teach her what he knows. And in Sara I see an amazing absorbent mind being nourished by everything around her and by all that we do, especially her brother. How can something so mundane mean so much? It’s the magic of Montessori practical life.
