Visitando la Fundación Iberê Camargo de Alvaro Siza/ Visiting Iberê Camargo Foundation Building from Alvaro Siza

El volumén abstracto e irregular en concreto blanco (una mezcla de cemento y polvo de mármol blanco) domina el Lago Guaíba ofreciendo al visitante una de las mejores vistas que se tiene de Porto Alegre, la capital gaucha. El edificio de la Fundación Iberê Camargo se encuentra construida sobre un terreno de 8 250 m² donde antiguamente era una cantera de piedra localizada en la Av. Padre Cacique en la zona sul de la ciudad de Porto Alegre. Terreno que fue donado por la Prefectura de Porto Alegre para la Fundación justamente para albergar el futuro edificio. Las rampas separadas y suspendidas se integran perfectamente con el paisaje circundante liberándose del volumen principal, trayendo como recuerdo al Guggenheim de Frank Lloyd Wright de Nueva York.

Esta es la primera obra de Alvaro Siza en Brasil y el arquitecto Lusitano no desilusiona ya que demuestra con este proyecto porque es considerado uno de los mejores arquitectos del mundo. 

La estructura de 5 pisos de 5,026 m², tiene amplios espacios de exhibición dominada por los ángulos agudos de las rampas que hacen parte de la circulación principal una de sus principales atracciones.

La iluminación cenital brinda iluminación natural que a su vez no satura de luz los espacios que al igual del blanco de las paredes internas con los detalles en mármol blanco dan una sensación de paz casi teológica.
Tuve la oportunidad de dar un recorrido por esta obra de Siza poco después de su inauguración y apreciar las obras de Iberê Camargo donde  sencillamente puedo decir que sus obras están enaltecidas por una arquitectura tan limpia e inspiradora de este grande pintor brasileño.

 En el subsuelo de encuentra el auditorio para 300 personas y el estacionamiento para 100 autos donde la utilización de materiales como el mármol blanco y madera crean una armonía que contrasta con las obras del pintor brasileño que son llenas de colores y líneas fuertes.
Desde su inauguración el 31 de mayo del 2008 (las obras para la Fundación comenzaron el 2003), la Fundación Ibere Camargo ha albergado varias exposiciones de arte nacional e internacional y se puede afirmar que después de muchos años Porto Alegre cuenta con un lugar de exposiciones renovado y de talla internacional.  Este es mi primera colaboración para Arquitectitis,  me gustaría saber su opinión sobre esta obra a mi parecer icónica de Siza.  Les deseo un buen fin de semana y saludos desde Brasil, ¡hasta la próxima!.

The abstract volume and irregular form in white concrete (a mixture of cement and white marble dust) overlooking Lake Guaiba offering visitors one of the best views that have of Porto Alegre, the capital gaucho.
The building Iberê Camargo Foundation is built on a plot of 8 250 m²  where once was a stone quarry, located at Padre Cacique Av. in the south zone of the city of Porto Alegre and was donated by the Town Hall of Porto Alegre for the Foundation just to house the future building.
Separate ramps and suspended are integrate seamlessly with the surrounding landscape freeing from the main volume, bringing the Guggenheim in memory of Frank Lloyd Wright in New York.
This is the first work of Alvaro Siza in Brazil and the lusitan architect does not disappoint as and it shows with this project why  is considered one of the best architects in the world. The 5th floor structure of 5.026  m² has a large exhibition spaces dominated by the sharp angles of the ramps that are part of the main circulation of its main attractions.
The overhead lighting provides natural lighting turn light does not saturate the spaces like the white of the inner walls with white marble details creates a sense of peace almost theological.
I had the opportunity to take a tour of this work of Siza shortly after his inauguration and appreciate the works of Iberê Camargo where I can simply say that his works are ennobled by this clean and inspiring architecture.
Located in the basement of the auditorium for 300 people and parking for 100 cars where the use of materials such as wood and white marble contrasts create a harmony with the Brazilian painter's works are full of colors and strong lines.
