Wavy Background with Distress Oxide Inks

Hi there everyone! Hope the start of the summer finds you swimming in a crystal clear water under a wonderful sun. Actually that's what I wish I was doing, but at least I can share a card where a cute whale is definitely enjoying her time in the ocean ;).

¡Hola a todos! Espero que el comienzo del verano os haya encontrado nadando en aguas cristalinas bajo un sol maravilloso. Bueno, eso es lo que me gustaría estar haciendo a mí. Como no es el caso, me consuelo con enseñaros esta tarjeta en la que una ballena monísima sí que está disfrutando de un baño en el océano ;).

To be honest, this is actually a mini card. I wanted the whale to be a bit bigger so cutting the card smaller made the trick :). To create the card, I heat embossed the "Waves Background" by Simon Says Stamp on a piece of cardstock and then blended Distress Oxide inks on top of it. To add a bit more interest I sprinkled some water and added white dots with a gel pen.

Si os digo la verdad, esta es en realidad una mini tarjeta. Quería que la ballena fuera más grande y haciendo la tarjeta más pequeña he conseguido ese efecto. He embosado en caliente el sello de fondo "Waves Background" de Simon Says Stamp y después he aplicado tintas Distress Oxide encima de la cartulina. Para darle más interés he salpicado un poco de agua y he añadido unos puntitos blancos con un rotulador de gel.

I colored the whale with Copic Markers and added a bit of sparkle with a glitter pen. For the sentiment I inked a piece of cardstock and heat embossed it.

He coloreado la ballena con rotuladores Copic y le he dado brillo con un rotulador transparente de purpurina. Para el sentimiento he coloreado un trozo de cartulina y lo he embosado en caliente.
