#wearingtoday

When I started my blog, I did it because I wanted to have one, also because in Guatemala there aren´t many fashion bloggers. My goal was to talk about fashion and what I wear.

As time has gone by, my objective has changed, now I want this blog to be a link of expression and creativity for other people. Also support  national designers.

For me fashion is what I wear every day to express myself with my own style. When Andrea of Dirty Little Stylist  told me she wanted to promote the hashtag #wearingtoday I wanted to participate too, so Guatemalan women will lose the fear of being different, help them find their own style, stop being afraid of what people might think of them. Also that we stop seeing fashion as something superficial.

After this introduction, here are the looks of  #wearingtoday.

Cuando empece mi blog lo hice por que me dieron ganas de tener uno, además en Guatemala no habían muchos de blogs de moda de gente fuera del medio. Mi objetivo era hablar de moda y lo que yo uso.

Con el tiempo ese objetivo ha cambiado, ahora también quiero que este blog sea un medio de expresión y creatividad para otras personas. Así como apoyo a diseñadores nacionales para que el rubro de “moda” crezca.

Para mi la moda es lo que uso cada día para expresarme con mi propio estilo. Por lo que cuando Andrea de Dirty Little Stylist me dijo que quería promocionar el #wearingtoday quise hacerlo yo también, para que en Guatemala perdamos el miedo a ser diferentes, aprendamos a  tener nuestro propio estilo y que no nos importe el que dirán. Además que dejemos de ver la moda como algo superficial.

• Stephanie, who who studies fashion design in Guatemala, published a dress she created with a man’s shirt. Visit his blog, Stephanie’s Closet, to know how she made the dress.

• Karol, from the the Guatemalan blog Life In Plastik shared two looks.

• Melissa  from the blog Gold on Black showed us a stylish  and chic red and black combination. Visit her blog as she is always showing some interesting looks.
