¡Lux vita et iocus cumple una década!Our blog just turned 10!
A través de este hobby, escribir sobre moda y creatividad, he conocido a muchas personas interesantes, entre ellas la Consultora de Imagen Tamara Glick en Toronto (2012), también he hecho algunos proyectos padrísimos como impartir un curso de imagen (2013), múltiples  segmentos en la radio sobre moda y estilo personal (2016) en "Hundred FM" con las bellísimas Geraldín Méndez y Brenda Banda en su programa "Acceso", así como intercambios de ropa y accesorios (Swaps), y la creación de una tienda en línea (2013) y ahora comunidad NinaLux Shop, con el fin de promover el consumo consciente y la cultura de reuso.Through this hobby, writing about fashion and creativity, I've met great people like Image Consultant Tamara Glick from Toronto (2012), and it also motivated me to complete several projects like teaching a course on personal image (2013), participated in several segments about fashion and personal style on "Hundred FM" radio station with the gorgeous Geraldín Méndez and Brenda Banda (2016), as well as clothing and accessories "Swaps", which led to the creation of the online store NinaLux Shop (2013), now also an exchange and sales community, with the main purpouse of promoting awareness while shopping and disposing garments and other aticles consciously.

Y hoy proclamamos oficialmente nuestro regreso a los básicos... Y no me refiero solo a los básicos de la temporada, sino a que este año tendremos más creatividad, más arte y expresión, comida rica (y de una vez saludable), y más ejercicio.And today we announce our return back to basics... Not just fashion basics, this year on we will talk more about creativity, art and self-expression, more delicious -and very healthy- food, and more excercise.

Para actualizar la ilustración que publique en el segundo aniversario de L-vi.com, le encomendé a la ilustradora potosina Fernanda Soriano un nuevo retrato incluyendo al buen Giggio, que se ha hecho presente en varios artículos y trayectoría de éste blog; y vean ¡que lindo resultado!
To update the previous cartoon portrait of  myself and the official "good boy" of this blog, Giggio the Chihuahua, which was publish as a celebration of L-vi.com second anniversary, I requested the lovely illustrator Fernanda Soriano a new portrait... and just look at the precious outcome!
Próximamente tendremos una entrevista con Fernanda, a quién pueden encontrar y disfrutar de su trabajo en Instagram bajo el pseudónimo de Snailey Pie y o en Behance como Creative Snail... ¡Soy su fan! A poco ¿no les encantaría tener una ilustración de ella?We have an interview coming up with Fernanda, whose work you can find and enjoy on Instagram  as Snailey Pie or at Behance  as Creative Snail. I'm her fan! Wouldn't you love having your portrait done by her!

El año pasado me comprometí a ir eliminando los productos de origen animal, principalmente los lácteos. Y en el camino, me mantuve motivada gracias a varias cuentas de Instagram, entre ellas la de Yvonne Haddad, quién comparte tips, fotos de sus platillos y recetas. Además de que siempre logra alborotar a mi apetito, me deja una clara eneñanza, que la creatividad es una gran herramienta al momento de cocinar.
Last year I made a commitment to slowly leave out of my diet animal protein, mainly dairy since I didn't really ate much meat before.Along the way I found inspiration through several Instagram accounts, and one of them is Yvonne Haddad's. Yvonnye shares tips on healthy eating, her personal experience, and pictures of her mealsas well as recipes. She always manages to start my appetite, and also with her example I realized that creativity is a great tool when cooking and planning meals.
Y este regreso a los básicos ¿quiere decir que ya no habrá moda? No necesariamente, solo significa que  afine el enfoque respecto a los temas, por lo que la imagen y estilo personal, la apropiación de prendas y accesorios (en el sentido de personalizar lo que se usa), y el consumo consciente serán parte importante del contenido.
So this return to the basics means there is no longer room for fashion? Not necessarily, this is just fine tunning the focus regarding the contents of this blog. Therefore personal image ans style, personalizing clothes and accessories, and mindful consuption, will be an important part of the contents.
