Issue 173 - April 19, 2020 | INNER VIEW By Sri Madhusudan Naidu Madhuram Madhuram 'Sweetness is Thy taste', sang a devotee poet. When the devotees from UK brought lots of chocolates and offered it to Swami, He said, "Oh! Sweets! Just like God. God is described as 'Sweetness personified' (Madhuradhipate)'. Truly, only God tastes sweet in this world, all else is only bitter. But alas, the one who has never tasted a sweet, what will he know about it's joy." The devotee who was listening to this conversation submitted, "Swami how do we taste the sweetness of God?" To which Swami replied, "If you spoil your taste buds with other kinds of worldly tastes, how are you going to be able to taste the sweetness of God. Just like the Chathaka bird waits for the rain drops to quench its thirst and will not drink from the fallen waters in pools and puddles, so should you wait to taste the divine alone and not the contaminated worldly pleasures." Isn't it why Rama's name is compared to a sweet! Isn't it why we flock to Him like ants wherever He is, in whichever form! You have earned this merit out of the penance from many births Bring up your children well with Devotion for God. They have been sent as gifts from God. They may have been born through you, but they are not because of you. From all the Lokas, the great seers and sages are descending on earth in a very rapid pace. They are finding their births in the wombs of sacred women, in the holy and devoted families. It is your duty to take care of them and grow them up the way God wants and hand over to God. Everyone else will be forgotten except those who are part of His story because He is never forgotten. Be happy you have earned this merit out of the penance from many births. You must use it well. Whenever God came, there were not too many people around Him to do His work. There were very few. There were always more opposing God than helping. Look at the life of any Avatar. People who were with the Avatar to do the work were few. But those opposing were more. Therefore, it is a typical trait of the Avatar, that He brings few people to work with Him, to help change others. | Seva Activities In Greece | The Greek team continues Seva activities with humility, devotion, responsibility and love for the people in need. The feelings of gratitude and bliss are inherent in every single person that participates in the preparation of food. Gratitude pervades the whole team, as Swami grants the youth this opportunity, the skills and the energy to serve others; while allowing everyone to discover the meaning of life through putting His words into practice: "Love All, Serve All!" | The Key to the Heart Feeding the Homeless, Seva in Munich | In December 2019, six members of the German youth made 100 lunch packs for the Munich homeless. The lunch packs were filled with a sandwich, chocolate bar, piece of fruit, drink, fruit bar and a small extra bag with Christmas sweets. Everything was systematically prepared and everyone had their tasks. The scene was a bit like that of a boat crew, singing together, happily rowing the boat forward, regardless of the effort. Usually one deals more with things in their own lives and may concentrate more on one's own duties and needs - on the "I". | Helping Beings In Need, March 2020 Selfless Seva Trust Of Istanbul | Selfless Seva Trust of Istanbul, Turkey, has continued to do Seva activities between March 2, 2020 and March 29, 2020; many people were visited and provided with the following services: - On Mondays and Wednesdays, food was cooked regularly at the following kitchens of the Trust and was delivered to several homes in need throughout the month.
