Ananda pascual: more than fashion

Os presento una nueva marca de moda, y a una nueva diseñadora; Ananda Pascual. Ananda tiene una gran trayectoria profesional: ha trabajado para firmas como Loewe e Inditex. / I introduce you a new fashion label, and a new designer; Ananda Pascual. Ananda has an interesting career: she has worked for brands like Loewe or Inditex.
Pero se canso de ver la situación actual de explotación de los trabajadores, y quiso hacer algo al respecto, quiso demostrar que la moda no tiene porque ser frívola, ni superficial, sino que puede ser mucho mas. / But she got tired of seen the present situation of the workers exploitation, and wanted to do something about it, wanted to prove that fashion doesn't have to be frivolous, or superficial, it can be a lot more.
La idea es muy interesante, parte de buscar el equilibrio entre el comercio justo, y la moda, entre el buen hacer y ayudar a los mas necesitados, entre la calidad de los tejidos y el compromiso medioambiental. La producción se realiza, desde el primer momento, en colaboración con organizaciones sociales cuyo compromiso es dar empleo a personas excluidas socialmente en países como India, Camboya, Perú. Se puede pedir mas? / The idea is very interesting, it comes from strike a balance between fair trade and fashion, among the savoir fair and help those in need, including the quality of fabrics and the environmental commitment. Production takes place, from the start, in partnership with social organizations whose commitment is to prove employment for social exclusive people in countries like India, Camboya or Peru. El tejido que destaca es el algodón 100%, pero también trabajan con fibra natural de Alpaca, y el nylon reciclado de botellas de agua y redes de pescadores. / The fabric that stands out is 100% cotton, but they also work with natural Alpaca fiber, and recycling nylon from water bottles and fishing nets.
Como curiosidad, los estampados que ves, estan hechos en la India mediante un proceso muy especial. Los artesanos trabajan con sellos tallados en madera que permiten crear los estampados que vemos en la coleccion. Se trata de un trabajo artesano y manual, unico. Todo un lujo! / As a curiosity, the prints you see, are made at India within a special process. The craftsman work with wood carving stamps that create the prints we see on the collection. Is a hand made and unique process. A real treat!
