Audioblog: ¿estudiar literatura?

          Sí, ese es el gran dilema para muchos. Debatirse entre estudiar lo que nos gusta y apasiona, o decantarse por aquello que a priori tiene muchas más salidas laborales. En el programa de hoy voy a comentar un tema que me preocupa, y es esa idea tan popular de estudiar lo que te va a dar dinero pero no te va a hacer feliz. ¿Y qué tiene que ver esto con la literatura? Pues que todo aquel que quiera estudiar una carrera de literatura en España va a pasar más hambre que el perro de un ciego, a no ser que se quiera opositar para ser profesor, y no estoy muy segura de si las plazas para dar clases de literatura son muy abundantes.          Pero no solo voy a tratar este tema, sino que también tengo interés en comentar la problemática que, según mi punto de vista, está dando al traste con el amor por la lectura en este país. Apuesto a que muchos de vosotros leísteis en el colegio las mismas obras literarias españolas: El Quijote, El lazarillo de Tormes, La Celestina, Fuenteovejuna, Fortunata y Jacinta, La Regenta ¿Son libros malos? En absoluto ¿Su contenido es simple y aburrido? Nada más lejos de la realidad ¿Son los libros más indicados para niños-adolescentes entre 12 y 16 años? Rotundamente, no.          Sería muy interesante conocer vuestras opiniones al respecto y si pensáis lo mismo que yo, o por el contrario, estoy exagerando.Programa 6: ¿Estudiar literatura?

            This is the big question for many people. Struggling between studying what we love, or studying what has more employment opportunities a priori. For today's show I'm going to talk about a topic which worries me, that popular idea of studying something that will give you money, but it won't make you happy. And what is the relation with literature? Well, anyone who wants to study literature in Spain is going to be hungrier than a beard, unless that person wants to be a civil servant teacher, and I'm not quite sure if job vacancies for that specific subject are enough.          But I'm not just going to talk about that because I'm interested in discussing the problem which is destroying the love of reading in Spain, in my opinion. I bet most Spanish people read the same Spanish literary works: Don Quixote, El lazarillo de Tormes, La Celestina, Fuenteovejuna, Fortunata y Jacinta, La Regenta. Are these bad books? Not at all. Are their content plain and boring? Nothing could be more untrue. Are the most appropriates books for kids ranging in age from 12-16 years old? Absolutely not.            It would be really interesting to know your opinions at this respect and if you think the same, or if you consider I'm exaggerating. Programme 6: Studying literature?
