Botas cowboy: modelos y marcas de este invierno

Desde el lejano oeste, como si se tratara de una película de Clint Eastwood o John Wayne, las botas estilo cowboy se abren paso para hacerse hueco en nuestro armario. La culpable, la diseñadora francesa, Isabel Marant. / From the far west, as if it were a Clint Eastwood or John Wayne movie, the cowboy boots make their way to our shoe closet. Guilty, the french designer, Isabel Marant.


Pero no solo ha sido Isabel la que ha llevado estas botas a las pasarelas, la famosa firma Balmain lo hizo meses antes, en su colección Primavera-Verano 2012. Aunque son las de Isabel las que se han hecho mas preciadas por los amantes de la moda. / But it wasn't the only designer Isabel Marant to show those boots at the catwalks, the well known brand Balmain did too few month earlier to present the Spring-Summer 2012 collection.

Un poco de historia. / A bit of history. 
Estas botas estas rodeadas de romance y misticismo, sus orígenes se remontan al siglo XIX. Cuentan que el primer Duque de Wellington, Arthur Wellesley, derroto, en 1815, a Napoleón en la Guerra de Waterloo, con unas botas de media cana y tacón bajo, a las que les dio su nombre. Posteriormente, en Secesión Norteamericana muchos soldados llevan las botas Wellington, y al terminar esta continuaron haciéndolo porque les resultaba cómodas.  / Those boots are surrounded by romance and mystique, their origins start at 19th century. It's told that the first Duke of Wellington, Arthur Wellesley, defeat Napoleon at the Waterloo War wearing a calf-length boot with a low heel, he named them after him. Later, during U. S. Civil War many soldiers wore the Wellington boots, and after it finish they keep them.

Que hay de cierto en esta historia? se habla de leyenda, y si buscas por ahí, seguro que encontraras otras, por eso no cabe duda que este modelo de botas engloban mucho mas que un simple diseño. / What is true about this story? a leyend maybe, if you make a research, you might come up with different ones, that is why there is no dude that this kind of boots are much more than just a design.
A finales del siglo XIX, estas botas se hicieron populares de un extremo a otro de Estados Unidos, y nacieron distintos diseños que hacían mas cómodo montar a caballo; su altura protegía la pierna y el tacón ayudaba a que los pies permanecieran en los estribos. / At the end of 19th century, those boots become popular from one side to the other of the United States of America, and few models were born, they made more comfortable to horseback rider; their length protected the leg and the heels kept the foot into the stirrups.


Cuando nació el genero Western en cine, se hicieron populares entre los actores de Hollywood, y de ahí paso a formar parte de la moda. / When the Wester movie genre was born, they become popular among the Hollywood actors, and from there they started as part of fashion.

La manera mas idónea de ponértelas esta temporada es jugando con el efecto casual y desenfadado del que son caracterizadas. 2. Porque no con pantalón? / Pants work too.

Aunque pegan casi mas con falda, con el pantalón adecuado lograr crear un efecto muy bonito. Eso si, que sean skinny. / Although they are more popular with a skirt, with the right pants they create a cute effect. But, it has to be with cigarette ones.


3. Dale un aire bohemio. / Give it a bohem touch. 

Muy a lo Isabel Marant, mezcla desenfadado con despreocupado y chic, porque no? / Very Marant style, mix free and easy with careless and chic, why not?
