Cibeles off: jokin astorkia

Viernes por la tarde tras una semana agotadora,en las que he trabajado mucho y dormido poco, me acerque al desfile de un diseñador nuevo, Jokin Astorkia. ¿Quién es Jokin? eso mismo pensé cuando me llegó la invitación, pero como buena blogger estuve investigando un poco, así que antes de entrar de lleno es su colección os voy a hacer un pequeño resumen, aunque estoy segura de que cuando veáis su trabajo, no vais a olvidaros de él. / Friday evening, after a exhausting week, in which I worker hard and sleep little, I when to the catwalk of a new designer, Jokin Astorkia. But how is Jokin? I thought the same when I received the invitation, but as a good blogger I research a little, so before jumping in the collection I will give you a small summery, although I am positive when you see his work, you are not going to forget him.

Jokin nació en Bilbao en 1987. Ha cursado estudios de Arquitectura en la UPV, y en la actualidad esta terminado sus estudios en la Universidad Europea de Madrid. Aunque es más conocido por haber trabajado como modelo. Bueno, pues sin enrollarme mas vamos a ver su primera colección. / Jokin was born at Bilbao in 1987. He has studied architecture at UPV, and is currently completed his studies at the European University in Madrid. Although he is bet known for having work as a model. Let's go ahead and  take a look to his first collection.
Inspirado en la arquitectura, su colección se centra en los principios fundamentales de esta: armonía, estética, simplicidad y funcionalidad. La colección esta pensada para mujeres elegantes y sofisticadas con poder adquisitivo medio-alto. / Inspired by architecture, his collection is focus on the basic principles: harmony, beauty, simplicity and functionality. The collections is designed for an elegant and sophisticated women with medium-high purchasing power.



En sus diseños destacan dos juegos fundamentales. Por un lado, la parte arquitectónica, con un guiño a la composición de volúmenes para lo que utiliza gran variedad de materiales. Y por otro, la rivalidad entre dos tonos, el blanco y el negro. / Among his designs  highlight two key games. On one hand, the architectonic part with a wink to the composition of volume using variety of fabrics. And on the other side, the rivalry between the two basic colors: black and white.


 
  Gran variedad de materiales: organza de seda, cuero, transparencias, malla metálica, tweed, plumas de oca, napa. / Big variety of fabrics: silk, leather, transparencies, metal mesh, tweet, goose feathers and nape.




Para el día escoge pantalones, tops y falda. Aunque las prendas de la colección son más aptas para llevar por la noche o en alguna ocasión especial ya que son demasiado sofisticadas. / For the day he choses pants and tops. But the garments are more suitable for the evening or in a special occasion, they are too sophisticated.






Mis prendas favoritas: un mono blanco semi-transparente de organza,  y un vestido negro con plumas de oca. / My favorite garments: a white transparent silk organza jumpsuit and a black dress with goose feathers.


El desfile se cerró con un precioso vestido de novia, sin duda una forma muy clásica de terminar, en contra posición con el resto de sus diseños. / The catwalk ended with a beautiful wedding dress, a very classic way to end up, in comparison to the rest of his designs.

 


El lugar escogido para celebrar el desfile fue muy acertado, un loft convertido en estudio con formas arquitectonicas en el techo. Y para sentar a los invitados escogieron sillas blancas de madera, donde había un regalo para cada invitado: un árbol por motivo del Año Internacional de los bosques  ¡buena idea! / The place chosen for holding the catwalk was so apt, a loft transformed into a studio with architectonic shapes on the ceiling. And to seat the guests, white wooden chairs, where it was a gift for each guest: a tree due to the International Year of the Forest, good idea!


Y en el front-row... con Estefania de Con Dos Tacones y su marido (que nos sacó esta foto). Ambos son encantadores, pasé un rato estupendo con ellos, ¡gracias chicos! / And at the front-row... with Estefania from Con Dos Tacones and her husband (he took the picture). Both are so nice, I had a great time, thanks guys!
