El estampado atigrado, más de moda que nunca

Una de las tendencias de este invierno ha sido el estampado animal, en todas sus versiones. El leopardo, la cebra, todos se han llevado, y continuaremos viendo algunos de ellos durante la Primavera. El motivo? son elegantes, chics y muy estilosos. / On of the trends of this winter has been animal print in all their versions. Leopard, zebra, all has been in, and we will still see few of them during Spring. The reason? they are elegant, chic and stylish.



Los hemos visto en la pasarela de la mano de Phillip Lim, Mango, y los seguiremos viendo. Sobre todo, el estampado leopardo que es el rey, y siempre esta de moda. Empezó a hacerse popular en los 40, y desde entonces vuelve con bastante frecuencia al escenario de la moda. / We seen it on the catwalks with Philip Lim, Mango, and we will continue to see the. Especially the leopard one, that is the king, and is always in. It started to be popular in the 40's, and since then it step frequently on the fashion stage.

El estampado animal ha sido, a lo largo de la historia, un simbolo de riqueza y estatus. Reyes y ricos han usado este estampado en alfombras, y otros objetos, ya que se consideraba algo único, exótico y aristocrático. / Animal print has been, through history, a symbol of wealth and status. Kings and rich had use it in rugs and other objects, because this print were consider something exclusive, exotic and aristocratic.

El estampado animal emergió en los años 40, gracias a los movimientos femeninos, y empezó a considerar fashion y sexy. En los 50's Christian Dior siguió su instinto y comenzó a diseñar accesorios, y colecciones con el estampado leopardo, ello logro que adquiriera niveles de sofisticacion, elegancia, y estilo; ninguna mujer tenia clase, sino añadía un toque animal a su vestuario. Aunque en los 50"s no fue solo Dior quien aposto por el estampado, le seguia muy de cerca Pierre Balmain. / Animal print arise in the 40's, thanks to the women's movements, and started to be consider fashionable and sexy. At the 50's Christian Dior followed his instinct, and started to design accessories, and lines with leopard print, therefore the levels of sophistication, elegance and style that gave it; any classy woman had to ad a animal touch to her wardrobe. Although at the 50's was not only Dior who bet for it, Pierre Balmain did too.

En los 60, con la revolución de los movimientos hippies, su carácter cambio, el estampado era ya accesible para las mujeres del pueblo, adquiriendo un significado de rebeldía; fue considerado un simbolo de locura y libertad. Pero el momento mas fuerte fue en los 70 cuando empezó a formar parte del rock punk gracias a grupos como Blondie; monos leopardo, plataformas cebras, todos ellos empezaron a aparecer en la moda. Y en los 80 fue sinónimo de diversión, peligro, aventuras,  la culpa, de Madonna, Poison, y otros. / At the 60's, with the revolution of the hippies movements, character changes, the print wear available to popular women, getting the meaning of rebellion; it was consider a symbol of craziness and liberty. But the strongest time was at the 70's when it started to be part of punk rock thanks to music groups such as Blondie; print jumpsuits, zebra print platforms, started to be part of fashion. And at the 80's was synonym of fun, danger, adventure, the guilt, Madonna, Poison, and others.

Y ahora que? Como llevo estos estampados para parecer estilosa y elegante? Es fundamental que sea así, que aprendas a llevarlos de la manera mas adecuada, porque si te pasas la has liado, y conseguiras el efecto contrario. / And now what? How should I wear those prints to look stylish and elegant? Is essential that it would be this way, otherwise you will create the opposite effect.

1. El estampado leoprado. / Leopard print.
1.1. Tonos para combinar. / Colors that match. 

- Como combinarlo es sencillo. Lo bueno que tiene este estampado es que pose dos de los colores básicos de cualquier vestuario; el negro y el marrón. Esto te permite combinarlo con ambos tonos, y con aquellos que encajan con estos. / How to mix them is easy. The good that got this print, is that it has two of the essential colors of any wardrobe; black and brown. Therefore, you can mix it with both tones, and with those that goes with them. 


- El rojo y el granate, son colores que quedan ideales con el leopardo, la mezcla de ambos queda muy chic y estilosa, ademas de ser muy favorecedora. / Red and burgundy, are colors that fit perfect with leopard, the mix of both is chic, stylish and fetching.


1.2 Mezcla con otros estampados. / Mix with other prints.  Si quieres ponértelo con otros estampados, tienes que tener cuidado, no sirve cualquier print, y por favor, solo una pieza leopardo en cada estilismo. Ademas, si mezclas estampados, al buscar los accesorios no abuses de demasiados colores. / If you want to wear it with other prints, be careful, not all the prints work good together. And please, only one leopard piece in each outfit. Plus, if you do so, when it comes to look for accessories don't abuse of other colors.

Lisa de Late Afternoon, siempre va ideal, sin embargo si hubiera escogidos accesorios en negro en lugar de los morados, estaría mucho mas estilosa. / Lisa from Late Afternoon, always looks great, although this time if she would chose back accessories, instead of the purple ones, she will look more gorgeous.

Puedes encontrar todo tipo de prendas con este estampado, cuanto mas grande sea la prenda mas segura de ti misma tienes que estar. Así que si no estas muy segura con el, empieza por prendas pequeñas o mejor con accesorios, y ve pasando a otras de mayores dimensiones paulatinamente. / You can find all kind of items with this print, as bigger as more confident you have to be. So if you are not very secure with it, start with small garments or better accesorios, and go for larger ones gradually.




1.4. Queda ideal con... / It looks great with...
- Con unos vaqueros. / With a pair of jeans. 


- Para primavera con blanco. / For Spring with white. 


1.5. Los accesorios. / Accessories. 

Si llevas el estampado leopardo en alguna de tus prendas, olvídate de combinarlas con accesorios leopardo, lo mejor sera que los busques en tonos lisos. Los accesorios en este estampado entran en juego, para dar vida a looks monocromáticos, a estilismos un poco sosos, o jugar con la moda. / If you wear leopard print in any of your garments, forget to do it with leopard accesories, you better seek for plain colors. Leopard prints are for one color look, boring outfits, or just to play with fashion.

2. El estampado cebra o en tonos mas oscuros. / Zebra print or in darker colors.
Es menos común pero derrocha elegancia, estilo, por los cuatro costados. Sus mezclas son mas sencillas, con gris y negro nunca te equivocaras. / Its less popular but has pleanty of elegance and style. To mix it is easy, with grey and black you will never go wrong.
