El pez cavernícola de México

La revista SUBTERRANEAN BIOLOGY ha publicado recientemente un nuevo artículo con una nueva localización del pez cavernícola Astyanax mexicanus De Filippi 1853. Este trabajo se ha titulado "A new cave locality for Astyanax cavefish in Sierra de El Abra, Mexico" y firmado por Luis Espinasa, Laurent Legendre, Julien Fumey, Maryline Blin, Sylvie Rétaux y Monika Espinasa.

Se han hecho estudios genéticos de los morfos ciego y no ciego de esta especie, y aumenta su distribución en el medio subterráneo de este país. Este trabajo sí que se puede ver online pues está abierto a todo el Mundo, así que os dejamos el enlace:
