Faldas años 60. / midi skirts.

Han  llenado las  pasarelas y las tiendas de medio mundo, horrorizando   a muchos.  Se trata de la tendencia años 60 o también conocida como tendencia Mad Men y se caracteriza por tratarse de una falda que terminan bastante más abajo de la rodilla y que ha formado parte de las colecciones otoño-invierno 2010-2011 de firmas como Louis Vuitton, Prada, Marc Jacobs, etc.  /  They have been part of runways and store of half of the world, horryfy many people. It's the 60's trend also known as Mad Men trend characterized by been a skirts that ends up way belong the knee and has been part of the fall-winter 2010-2011 collections of designers such as Louis Vuitton, Parada, Marc Jacobs, etc.

Si, las conocidas falda midi, son en realidad faldas a media pierna. Entre esta tendencia destacan las faldas con ese toque preppy y con vuelo que llevan las protagonistas femeninas de la serie estadounidense, y que cuando las vemos pensamos en Peggy o en sus compañeras.  / Yes, the so well know midi-skirt, are actually midi-calf skirts. Among them the 60’s style once highlight, with that preppy and volume touch that the female characters of the show wear and that when we see them we think on Peggy and her workmates.

En los años 60 a estas faldas se les llamaba  "granny" o "faldas de la abuela" porque era una moda para gente joven sacada de los armarios de las abuelas. / On the 60's those skirts were known as "granny skirts" because is a young take on gramma dresing.


Otro estilo son las faldas rectas, que también termina a media pierna, pero son muy similares a las faldas largas, porque la caída es más recta, hay menos tela y por tanto no hacen vuelo. / The other style of skirts also end up at mid-tights but they are very similar to long skirt, because the fall is more upright, they got less material and therefore do not got volume.



Una buena opción es elegir alguna en tonos tostados o camel, irás a la última y no parecera tan setentera, pero a continuación os cuento cómo llevarlas. / A great idea is to chose one in tosted or camel tones, you will go on fashion and won’t looks so 60’s, but adove I will tell you how to wear them.

1. Con un blazer. / With a blazer.

2. Con una camisa, camiseta o jersey. / With a bluse, shirt or sweater.


En la parte de arriba con una camisa, camiseta o jersey. ¡Ideal para ir a trabajar!  / On the upper part of the body, a blouse, shirt or sweater. Great to go to work!


3. Mezclando estampados. / MIxing prints.


Muchas de estas faldas tienen estampados, porque vienen confeccionadas en tela tipo cortina con brocados y demás, así que si quieres darle un toque chic, esta es una buena idea. / Many of those kind of skirts have prints, because they are made in fabrics that reminds to cortains, with brocades and so on, so if you wantt to give it a chic touch is a good idea.


4. Con corset o top. / With a top or a corset.

Cuanto mas sexy sea mejor, para revelarnos y romper con ese estilo cursi y de niña buena que trasmiten este tipo de faldas. / As more sexy they are, the better, so we will break with that corny and good girl style this skirts give. Y si ya quieres romper con esa inocencia, lo ideal es un top trasparente. / And if you definately wonna break will all the innocence, the best is a sheer top.

5. Elige una falda midi con tela que te vista y combinala con un top casual, o viceversa. / Chose a midi skirt with dressing fabric and mix it with a casual top or the other way.

¡Me encanta como queda! ¡La combinacion es divina! Con un top o jersey casual rompes con toda inocencia, es como si dijeras, "aquí estoy yo" / I love how it look like! The mix is gorgeous! With a top or casual sweater you break with all the innocence, its as if you wera saying "hear I am". 
 6. Con un chaleco de pelo. / With a fur vest.

Le dará un aire desenfadado, y un tanto rompedor ya que al añadir el chaleco oversize se borra toda ñoñez que caracteriza a este tipo de falda. / It give it a free-and-easy touch and somewhat goundbreaking, because by adding a oversize vest it erases all the fussy that come along with this type of skirt.

7. Con un leotardo. / With tick tights.


Para dar un toque de pasarela una de los opciones es ponertela con leotardos gordos del mismo tono o con algún dibujo, así lo presentó Prada. / To give it a runway touch the best option is to wear it with tick tights of the same color or with a draw, this way was presented by Prada.

8. Con calcetines cortos a media pierna. / With short socks ort bobby socks.


Esta es la opción que escogio Marc Jacobs para su desfile. Se trata de endulzar el look para parecer una colegiala. / This was the idea Marc Jacobs chose for his catwalk. It sweet up the look making it as a collage girl.

9. Con zapatos de tacón o medio tacón estilo gato. / With heels or kitten shoes. 
Para modernizar el look, lo mejor son unos taconazos. / To modernize the look, chose high heels.


Si quieres darle un toque más sesentero y muy preppy, no lo dudes los kitten shoes son lo mejor. / If you want to ad a more 60’s and preppy touch, there is no dude kitten shoes are the greaters.

10. Con botas. / With boots.
 

Si quiéres romper con ese aire ñoño, opta por botas y olvidáte de los zapatos. / If you want to break with that sappy air, chose boots and forget shoes.

1. Si no eres muy alta. / Of you are not too tall.
Este tipo de faldas acortan la figura así que sino eres alta, ólvidate de ellas. / This kind of skirts short the figure so if you are not too tall, forget them.

2. Sino eres muy delgada. / If you are not skinny.
Para que quede bien tienes que ser muy delgada, y no lo olvides, también alta. Fijate en las fotos, las modelos parecen mas bajitas y anchas de lo que son. / For look great with them you have to be very skinny and tall. Look at the catwalk images, the models seems sorther and wide.

3. Si quieres vestir sexy o atraer a los hombres. / If you want to dress sexy and flirt with guys.
A los hombres les espanta este tipo de falda, ya sabeís ellos nos prefieren con minis y escotazos. / Men hate this skirt type, you know they preffer us wearing very short skirts and low-cut neck.

Curiosamente, y me imagino que os habreís fijado, esta vez uso mas imagenes de pasarela que habitualmente. Ello os dejara claro que es unan tendencia que no se ve mucho por la calle y por tanto, poco puedo ilustrarla en esta sentido. Lo que si se ve más en las calles son faldas largas, pero de ellas estoy preparando un post que os va a encantar, todo a su tiempo. / Interestingly, and I imagine you have notice it, this time I use more runway image than usual.
