Hace unos días, la firma de moda H&M, comunico a la prensa que su próxima colaboración sera con la diseñadora francesa Isabel Marant. En pocos años Marant se ha convertido en una de las grandes, sus piezas son codiciadas por fashionistas de todas partes del globo, incluso muchas firmas las imitan porque sus diseños son únicos, extraordinarios, e ideales. / Few days ago, the fashion brand H&M, told the press about their next collaboration with Isabel Marant. In few years, Marant has turn into one of the greatest, her pieces are coveted for many fashion lovers around the globe, even many brands has copycat her designs because they are unique, extraordinary and gorgeous.

Si sigues Mia's Scrapbook, entonces es seguro que sepas quien es Isabel Marant; he escrito sobre ella mil veces, y mostrado sus colecciones años tras año. Pero hasta hoy no he profundizado en su historia, así que, que mejor momento que hacerlo ahora? / If you follow Mia's Scrapbook, you have to know who is Isabel Marant; I have wrote of her a thousand times, and share her collections all the years. However, until today I haven't gone depth in her story, so what better time than now? 
 Spring 2012
Isabel nació en 1969 en París. Desde muy pequeña saco dotes de diseñadora, y en el Instituto empezó a crear su propia ropa. Con 15 ya cosía de lujo, no le gustaba la ropa que llevaban las chicas de su edad, buscaba algo con un toque mas masculino. / She was born in 1969 at Paris. Since she was very young she started to be extraordinary for design, and when she went to High School, she started to sew her own clothing. With 15 she sew awesome, she didn't like the clothing that was make for girls of her age, she wanted something more male style. 


Marant estudio en la escuela de diseño, Studio Berçot, hasta 1987. Dos años después, creo su primera linea de bisuteria y accesorios. En 1990 creo la firma "Twen", centradas en jerseys y prendas de punto, cuatro años después Twen se convertiría en Isabel Marant. / Marant studied at the Studio Berçot design school until 1987. Two years later, she created her jewellery and accessories line. In 199- she lunched the brand "Twen", focus on sweaters and knit wear, four years later Twen turn into Isabel Marant. 


Su primer desfile fue con la colección de Primavera-Verano de 1995. Y ya, en el 2000, lanzo la firma Etoile; una marca mas casual y económica. / Her first show was with the Spring-Summer 2995 collection. And in 2000, she lunched Etoile, a more casual and affordable brand.


Su éxito: el estilo chic parisino, su toque bohemio, la sastrería masculina. Su secreto: Marant observa a las chicas en las calles de París, en los cafés, en las tiendas, y se inspira para crear sus diseños. Porque lo que quiere es vestirlas en su dia a dia con prendas donde se sientan seguras de si mismas y guapas". / Her success: the Parisian chic style, her bohemian touch and the male tailoring. Her secret: Marant saw the girl hanging out in Paris, at the cafes, at the stores and gets inspirations for her designs. She wants to dress them for their everyday lives and make clothes in which they feel self-confident and pretty. 



Como ella misma dice: "Diseño para una mujer que quiere tener una personalidad fuerte pero sin arreglarse demasiado, que quiere ser diferente pero de manera discreta. Por lo general, tiene que sentirse cómoda con su ropa sin demasiadas complicaciones." "Toda la ropa que diseño, tiene que ver con quien soy, y lo que me gusta. Soy mi propio cliente. Nunca diseño nada que no me pondría". / As she said: "A woman who wants to have a strong personality but without being totally dressed up, who wants to be different but in a discreet way. She’s usually a rather active, entrepreneurial woman who needs to feel good in her clothes without trying too hard.” "All the clothes I design are about who I am and what I love. I am my first client. I never design nothing I wouldn't wear myself ".

Isabel Marant sacara piezas de fondo de armario. Se trata de una colección centrada en el ámbito urbano, París es su esencia, su musa. El estilo boho chic, y espíritu rockero, serán la base de los diseños. / Isabel Marant will design a wardrobe of must-have pieces. The collection is approach to the urban side, Paris is the essence, her muse. The boho chic style and the rock spirit will be the base of the designs.
La colección estará compuesta por ropa y accesorios para mujer y adolescentes, y otra colección para hombres. Hay que resaltar, que sera la primera vez que Marant diseñe una colección masculina. / The collection will consist in clothes and accessories for women and teenager, and there will be another collection focus on men. It will the first time Marant will design a male collection. 

Sobre dicha colaboración Isabel Marant ha declarado: "Estoy alagada por esta colaboración; H&M trabaja con los mejores diseñadores, y esta invitacion es un verdadero honor. Estoy creando algo real, que la mujer quiere llevar en su día a día, con cierto cuidado, lo que creo que es muy parisino: te arreglas, pero no le prestas demasiada atención y sigue siendo sexy. La colección esta llena de sencillez y actitud. Todo puede mezclarse siguiendo el propio instinto: mi opinión de la moda, es toda sobre personalidad". / About this collaboration Isabel Marant had said: "I  am flattered by this collaboration: H&M works with the best designers and this invitation is an exciting honour. I aim at creating something real, that women want to wear in their everyday lives, with a certain carelessness, which I think is very Parisian: you dress up, but do not pay too much attention and still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude. Everything can be mixed following one’s own instincts: my take on fashion is all about personality".
Así mismo, la Directora Creativa de H&M, Margareta Van Den Bosch, comento: "Estamos entusiasmados con tener a Isabel Marant como diseñadora invitada de H&M. La forma en que mezcla distintos elementos en sus colecciones, creando un estilo natural y urbano, la hace contemporánea. Tiene un ojo estupendo para detalles étnicos, y la habilidad de crear algo que la gente realmente quiere llevar. Estamos convencidos de que los clientes de H&M estarán entusiasmados con esta colección". / At the same time, Margareta Van Den Bosch, Creative Advisor at H&M said: "We are excited to have Isabel Marant as a guest designer at H&M. The way she mixes different elements in her collections, creating a style that is effortless and urban, makes her very contemporary. She has a fantastic eye for ethnic detail and the rare ability to create something that people really want to wear. We are sure the H&M customers will be enthusiastic about this collection”
La venta comenzara el 14 de Noviembre, en 250 tiendas de todo el mundo. Las prendas también se podrán adquirir online. / The sale wil start on November 14th,  at around 250 stores wordwide. The garments will also be sale online.
