El próximo 30 de agosto, se celebrará en el Barclays Center de Brooklyn la nueva edición de los MTV Video Music Awards, que se presentará en un nuevo formato con menos público del habitual adaptado a la nueva situación sanitaria actual.
En esta nueva edición, Lady Gaga y Ariana Grande parten como favoritas gracias al videoclip de ‘Rain On Me‘, incluido en el álbum ‘Chromatica‘. Además de las siete candidaturas sólo con este vídeo, Gaga suma dos nominaciones más en las categorías de Artista del año y Mejor actuación en cuarentena.
Billie Eilish y The Weeknd son otros de los protagonistas de esta edición con un total de seis nominaciones cada uno. También Taylor Swift logra cinco candidaturas gracias al álbum ‘Lover”.
Además, este año se han incorporado dos categorías excecpcionales debido a la pandemia global que todos estamos viviendo: Mejor vídeo musical en casa y Mejor actuación durante la cuarentena.
