Armados con sus cámaras, los artistas del light graffiti utilizan leds, sticks de luz, lasers o cualquier cosa que pueda emitir el brillo o color que necesitan para su obra. Con un trípode para dar mayor estabilidad, una apertura manual y una exposición de entre 10 y 30 segundos, se fotografían dibujando formas en el aire, que sólo podrán ver una vez hecha la foto.
