Viernes 3 de Febrero por la tarde, el aire y el frio son los protagonistas, en una semana donde ha dado comienzo la Pasarela de la Moda de Madrid, que ha pasado a llamarse Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid, una pena. Pero sigamos con el post: esa tarde estaba invitada el desfile de un diseñador independiente español, Jose Matteos, que ha desfilado varias temporadas en off en la pasarela Cibeles. pero para quienes estáis un poco perdidos os voy a contar brevemente su biografía antes de mostraros el desfile de su colección Otoño-invierno 2012-2013. / Friday Febrary 3 in the evening, the air and cold are the protagonist in a week which has started Madrid Fashion Week, that now has been renamed Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid, what a shame! But let's get focus on this post: that evening I was invited to the catwalk of one Spanish independent designer, Jose Matteos, that has been catwalking in Cibeles off catwalks for a few seasons. But for those of you that are a bit lost I am gonna tell you a bit of his biography before show you his Fall-Winter 2012-2013 collection and catwalk. 

Jose Matteos nació en Galicia, ya desde muy joven se sintió atraído por la creatividad. Se gradúa en La Coruña como Técnico Superior de Diseño y Moda, y para ampliar sus estudios se va a Londres, ingresando en el Saint Martins College of Arts & Designs. Sus primeros trabajos de moda fueron colaborando con empresas fuertes como Míriam Ocariz, Zara, Stradivarius, El Corte Ingles, H&M, Abercrombie. En el 2006 presenta su marca, Matteos, a través de Madrid Fashion Week y la Pasarela Gaudi. Y a partir de ahí no para e incluso participa en el showroom Fashion from Galicia en Tokyo, Paris, Milan, Londres y Nueva York. He graduates at La Coruña from Superior Technical Design and Fashion, and to continuous his studies he moves to London to attend to the Saint Martins College of Arts & Designs. His first works in fashion were collaborating with strong fashion brands such as Zara, Stradivarius, El Corte Ingles, H&M, Abercrombie. In 2006 he lunches his brand, Matteos, in Madrid Fashion Week and Gaudi. Inspirado en la fusión de la cultura japonesa y la moda victoriana, Matteo presenta una colección de prendas muy cuidadas, donde le negro es el único protagonista. Y la denomina "Essence" / Inspired by the fusion of Japanese culture and Victorian fashion, Matteo has present a collection of care garments where black is the protagonist. He has called this collection "Essence".



Recuerda a Japón, con los peinados, el maquillaje futurista, las faldas cortas y las botas de plataformas y taconazos. Las modelos parecen salidas del parking de Tokyo Drift, incluso ellos, los modelos masculinos, llevan cascos en la cabeza. / It remind to Japan, with the hair stylish, the futuristic make up, short skirts and the high heel platform boots. The models seems to be out if the Tokyo Drift parking, even the male models wears helmets over their heads.




Los tejidos que destacan son los vaporosos; organza, seda, tul, encaje, y transparencias. Matteo trabaja siempre con tejidos de alta calidad. / The fabrics that highlights are the steamy; organza, silk, tulle, lace and sheer. Matteo works always with high quality fabrics.





Las prendas, para ellas son en su mayoría vestidos versátiles, ya que valen tanto para el día como para la noche. Los diseños se centran en las lineas y cortes que juegan con el volumen y las formas para lograr que tomen vida propia, y obtener así sobrevolúmenes. / The garments, for the ladies are mainly versatile dresses that are able to be were during the day or at night. The designs focus on the lines and cuts that plays with volumes and forms, to get them to make their own life, and obtain extra volume.




Para ellos, trajes futuristas que juegan también con transparencias y volúmenes. Donde la parte de arriba se ciñe al cuerpo, y los pantalones o son ajustados o son anchos de estilo árabe, e incluso juega con ellos y crea estilismos con faldas. Los complementos tienen cierto aire punk. / For the males, futuristic suits that also plays with sheer and volume. The upper body is tight and the pants are tight or wide with an arabic touch, he even plays with them and design looks with skirts. The accessories have a punk touch.


Mis prendas favoritas: Vestido babydoll con falda de gasa y volumen, y un minivestido precioso con falda de organza y cuerpo metalizado. / My favorite garments: Bodydoll dress with gaze volume skirt, and a pretty short dress with organza skirt and metal body.

Los accesorios son casi inexistentes, a excepción del calzado. Para ellas, botas con taconazo y plataformas estilo punk, y para ellos botas de motorista, algunas recuerdan a Frankenstein. En resumen, la colección en esencia es creativa porque de un elemento común, el negro, consigue crear 30 diseños distintos. Por lo demás, las prendas son tan diferentes a lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver, que seria estupendo si dejaras un comentario en el post, y nos cuentas que te sugiere a ti.
