Uno de los prints estrella de las temporadas venideras es el de las míticas palmeras que nos recuerda que el verano (como vengo diciéndome cada día desde hace ya varias semanas) está cada vez más cerca. Ya sé que hace unos días hablaba de la primavera, pero… ¿no podríamos saltárnosla? Una servidora ya ha empezado a tomar el sol aproximadamente una hora todos los días (eso sí, algo que podríamos llamar “sol facial”, que no está el tema como para ponerse en bikini todavía), ayer mismo me hice un cambio de look que podríamos catalogar de “estado de locura transitoria” y he comprado material suficiente para renovar una pequeña sección de mi armario. Solo me queda cerrar el tema de las vacaciones con un grupo de amigos estos días y ya podré decir, con toda la tranquilidad del mundo, que estoy preparada para lo que venga.
Eso sí: todavía me faltan varios must haves. ¿Habéis visto el sinfín de piñas con gafas que circulan por Internet? ¿Y los bañadores con hojas de palmera por todas partes? ¿O las camisetas con cocos allí donde se yerguen orgullosos nuestros pechos? ¡Qué estrés! Y pensar que nos matamos a trabajar, día y noche muchas veces (cuántas noches me habré acostado a las tres de la mañana terminando proyectos), para después… ¿Qué? Pues para irnos de vacaciones, para hincharnos a piñas bajo una palmera y jugar a tener pechos de coco en una playa caribeña. ¡Que a estas alturas del año ya va apeteciendo!
One of the coolest prints of the upcoming seasons is the mythical palm tree that reminds us that summer (as I keep telling myself every day) is getting closer. I know that only a few days ago I was writing about welcoming spring, but seriously, can’t we just skip it? I have already begun sunbathing for about an hour every day (let’s call it "facial sunbathing" as we don’t dare wearing a bikini yet), yesterday I changed my hairstyle in an outburst we could call "fleeting lunacy" and I have bought enough garments to update a small section of my closet. I just have to set a date for my summer holidays together with a group of friends and I will be able to say that I'm officially ready for whatever comes next.

Though maybe I should admit that I’m still missing several must haves... Have you seen the endless number of pineapples wearing glasses that fill up the net? And the gorgeous swimwear decorated with palm trees all over? Or the t-shirts with two coconuts where our breast swell with pride? It’s so stressful! Just think about this for a second: we bust a gut, day and night sometimes (how many nights I have fallen asleep trying to finish a project!) just to... To what? To go on holidays, to eat some pineapple under a palm tree and to put two coconuts on our breasts while lying on a Caribbean beach! At this stage of the game we all fancy a little bit of summer vibes… Don’t we?
