Souvenirs From Egg Records

Gracias al gran Take The Pills!, uno de los mejores blogs que conozco, me he hecho con esta estupenda recopilación del sello escoces de pop independiente Egg Records. La verdad es que salvo a This Poison! y The Submarines, no conocía a ningún grupo más de este sello, y muchos de ellos me han sorprendido bastante.

En tan solo tres años (88-91), sacaron a quince grupos de pop independiente, twee o c-86, de lo más interesantes. Me han gustado especialmente The Bachelor Pad (en la foto), The Prayers, Remember Fun o Let’s Go Naked, aunque la gran mayoría suenan muy bien. 

Supongo que en aquella época las comparaciones con Sarah Records estarían a la orden día, y no es para menos, ya que llevaban el mismo rollo, e incluso uno de sus grupos (Even As We Speak), acabo fichando por el mítico sello de Bristol. Pero bueno, lo importante es que aquí hay muchos buenos grupos a los que no conocía, y a los que voy a tener el placer de investigar en los próximos meses.
