Sunglasses: cat eyed and more

 

Por fin... sol, sol, y más sol. Parece que después de una primavera de tiempo muy inestable y mucha lluvia, ya ha llegado el verano, y el sol ocupa protagonismo en el cielo. Así que es hora de hablar de uno de los accesorios más fashion del mercado: las gafas de sol. / At last... sun, sun and more sun. It seems that after a Spring with a very volatile weather and plenty of rain, the summer has come, and the sun takes its role in the sky. So its time to talk about one of the market fashion accessories: sunglasses.


Pasando de gurús de la moda, tendencias y demás, he decidido, para este post, dedicarme a la observación, y mi conclusión es que este verano hay tres modelos de gafas de sol que son tendencia: / Moving from fashion gurus, trends and more, I have decided, for this post, to dedicated to observation, and my conclusion is that this summer they are basically three models of sunglasses that are in:
1. Cat-eyed sunglasses.

Este año las gafas más cool son las conocidas como Cat-eyed u ojos de gato, y el modelo por excelencia es el que ha sacado al mercado el diseñador Tom Ford. Este diseño sustituyen a las gafas de Prada que fueron tendencia el verano de 2010, y que también están consideradas como cat eye. Otro de los modelos más populares es el de Alexander Wang, que se caracteriza por ser el más exagerado y futurista de todos. / This year the coolest sunglasses are known as Cat-eyed, and the popular once are the model of the designer Tom Ford. This design replaces Prada sunglasses that were Summer 2010 trend and that also are cat eye sunglasses. Another of the popular models is Alexander Wang's, it's known for been the most exaggerated  and futuristic of all of them.

Este tipo de gafas de sol se caracterizan por tener forma de ojos de gato; ya que su terminación es en forma de pico. Pero no, no son una novedad, ni una idea creativa que surgió en la mente de Ford en un momento inspirador, no, este tipo de gafa fueron muy populares en la década de los 50, y posteriormente las vimos en los 90 de la mano del grunge y como accesorio imprescindible de Kurt Cobain. / This type of sunglasses are  characterized by having cat eye shape; they end up in peak form. But they are not new, neither a creative idea that arose in the mind of Ford during an inspiration moment, no, these type of glasses were popular during the 50's and lately, in the 90's of the hand of grunge and as must have accessory of Kurt Cobain.

 




Pero no sólo Ford ha sacado este modelo, las llevamos viendo desde algunas temporadas en las revistas y a las celebrities, y en las pasarelas también han estado muy presentes en las colecciones Primavera / Verano 2011 con Dior, Sonia Rykiel, Alexander Wang, Prada... / But not only Ford has lunch this model, we have seen there from a few seasons in magazines and celebrities, and on the catwalks they have also been presents as part of the Spring / Summer 2011 collections with Dior, Sonia Rykiel, Alexander Wang, Prada...

Así que toma nota: vintage, chic, sofisticadas, aptas para dar un toque retro a cualquier look. Las puedes encontrar de mil formas y tamaños, incluso reciclar algunas de los 50 que tengan tus padres por casa. / So notice: vintage, chic, sophisticated, edgy, perfect to ad a retro touch to any look. You can find them in a thousand shapes, sizes, and even recycling a 50's onces that your parents might got at home.

2. Gafas grandes. / Oversize sunglasses.

Este modelo fue tendencia el pasado verano, y este año siguen estando de moda. Lo mejor de ellas es que favorecen a casi todo el mundo y quedan de lo más chic. / This models was last summer trend but this year they are still in. The best of them is that looks great in almost everyone and they are so chic.

¿La forma? es lo de menos, lo que importa es que sean muy grandes, cuanto más mejor. Para elegir un estilo es mejor que te las pruebes y decidas en función de la que te favorezca más. / The shape? It's the less important, the bigger the better. To choose an style I recommend you to trey them and decide based on which suits you nicer.

3. Gafas de colores, siempre divertidas. / Color sunglasses, always funny.

Ya lo sabéis, esta temporada es la del color y los diseñadores de gafas de sol no han querido quedarse atrás y han añadido esta tendencia a las monturas. Pero ya no sólo tiene color, sino formas curiosas y divertidas, que le dan un aire muy juvenil a este accesorio. / You already know this season, is the color one and sunglasses designers didn't want to lag behind this trend and have ad it to their frames. But they not only have color, but odd and funny shapes, that give a youthful air to this accessory.
