the way we live. asturias fashion 2012

como sabéis si me seguís por twitter (@crespobarbara), este ha sido un fin de semana muy viajero para mí. tras pasar a penas unas horas en madrid, al regresar de valencia, puse rumbo a asturias, donde fui invitada por la organización de the way we live a participar en esta primera edición. la sede de este evento de moda no podía ser más bonita, el laboral centro de arte de gijón, edificio moderno emplazado en un entorno histórico en plena naturaleza. allí se ha celebrado un showroom, hemos visto desfiles, se han impartido talleres y, sobre todo, se ha hablado de moda en mi caso, participé en el debate acerca del futuro de la moda. enunciado amplio que da mucho que hablar... en mi reflexión incidí en que debíamos caminar hacia la sostenibilidad, termino que tan presente debe estar en todos los aspectos de nuestro mundo actual. pienso que la próxima crisis que podemos vivir puede ser la del modelo que impone la moda actualmente, donde el ritmo de producción que imponen las grandes cadenas, frenético, no puede ser seguido salvo por ellas. ya apenas hay diferencia entre temporadas, la novedad he de ser constante. qué hacemos con tanta ropa? y lo peor cómo se fabrica? cada vez más químicos, cada vez más desgaste en la naturaleza, cada vez más de todo… no quiero ser catastrofista en modo alguno… vivimos demasiado deprisa, e imprimimos esa velocidad en todo lo que sucede… no os parece? bueno, no puedo dejar de mandar un beso enorme a todas las seguidoras del blog que se acercaron a charlar conmigo, que me ofrecieron su amistad y me demostraron su cariño. gracias inmensas! sois vosotras las que hacéis que me sienta en casa allá donde voy!!!

i headed to asturias, where i was invited by the organization of the way we live to participate in this first edition. the headquarters of this fashion event could not be prettier, the art education center gijón, modern building located in historic surroundings in the countryside. there he held a showroom, we have seen parades, have given workshops and above all has been said about fashion. in my case, i participated in the debate about the future of fashion. broad statement that gives a lot of talk. 
in my reflections i said that we should walk towards sustainability, as this term that should be in all aspects of our world today. i think we can live next crisis may be the model imposed by the current fashion, where the production rate imposed by the large chains, frantic, can not be followed except for them. and there is little difference between seasons, i have to be constant novelty. what we do with so many clothes? and worse how is it made?
