#tommy x nadal, the final match

El martes pasado acudí a un evento muy especial, en uno de los lugares mas espectaculares, y bonitos que tiene la ciudad de Madrid; la Galería de Cristal del Palacio de Cibeles. Parecía que nos habíamos trasladado a un desfile en el Gran Palais de París. Pero no era Paris no, sino Madrid, y con Tommy Hilfiger. Los que me seguís desde hace tiempo sabéis que con Tommy no falto nunca. / Last Tuesday I went to a very special event, in one of the most spectacular and beautiful places of Madrid, the Crystal Gallery of Cibeles Palace (the city council's home.) It seems we had move to a catwalk in Le Grand Palais of Paris. But it wasn't Paris but Madrid, and with Tommy Hilfiger. If you fall me from a little long you already know I don't miss any Tommy event.
En esta ocasión se trataba de la presentación de Rafa Nadal como Embajador de la firma. Nadal es imagen de Tommy para la línea Underwear, Tailored y la fragancia TH Bold. Para el diseñador;  Tommy Hilfiger: "Rafael personifica el espíritu de nuestra firma: divertido, estupendo y desenfadado" Por mi parte añadiría que Rafa es la clara muestra del éxito bajo muchas horas de trabajo y esfuerzo, un ejemplo a seguir donde la sencillez y la humildad se exponen en su máximo potencial. / This time it was the presentation of Rafa Nadal as Ambassador of the brand. Nadal is Tommy's image for the underwear and Tailored line and of the TH Bold perfume. For Tommy Hilfiger; the designer himself, Rafael Nadal means: "Rafael epitomizes the spirit of our firm: funny, fantastic and relaxed." I would add that Rafa is the clear sign of success under many hours of work and effort, a role where simplicity and humility are shown in their full potential.

El partido comenzó jugando a dobles entre Rafa Nadal contra Joan Betancout vestidos con trajes de la línea sastre (Tailored) y Malena Costa contra Critina Tosio, vestidas también de Tommy Hilfiger Primavera-Verano 2016. El partido (como muchos visteis ya en el evento que organizo Tommy en Nueva York con Nadal el pasado mes de Agosto)  consistía en un strip tennis donde los jugadores tenían que quitarse una prenda cuando perdían un punto. / The game started playing doubles between Rafa Nadal against Joan Betancout both wearing suits of the line Tailored and Malena Costa against Cristina Tosio wearing garments of Tommy Hilfiger Spring-Summer 2016. The game (as many of you already saw in the event Tommy Hilfiger organized in New your last august) consist in a strip tennis game where the players had to take a garment off when they lost a point.




La situación fue tal, que Andres Velencoso tuvo que sustituir a Cristina Tosio al poco de empezar el set. Agradecemos a Cristina sus dejadas porque aunque es divina, Velencoso puso más emoción en la pista. Guapísimo y con mucho humor entró a matar vestido con la línea sastre de la firma. / The situation got into a point when Andres Velencoso has to step in to replace Cristina Tosio shortly after starting the set. We thanks Cristina for her points lost because even she is divine, Velencoso put more excitement on the tennis court. Handsome and with plenty of humor he step to kill dress with the tailored line of the brand.



Arturo Vals fue juez y presentador del evento. Lo que hizo que facilitara las risas y bromas entre los jugadores. Pero ¿cómo terminó todo? ¿Quién ganó y en qué condiciones? Obviamente Rafa Nadal fue el ganador, no podía ser de otro modo, y lo hizo perdiendo tan sólo la americana. Fue el podre Joan Betancourt quien lució calzoncillos, nada menos que dos pares; hay que ser previsor y mas si juegas contra Rafa Nadal. / Arturo Valls was the judge and host of the event. What made easier the jokes and laughters among the players. But how did it all ended? Who won and under what conditions? Obviously Rafa Nadal was the winner, it could not be other way, and he only lose his blazer. It was Joan Betancourt who show his boxers, two pairs of them; it must be proactive and more if you play against Rafa Nadal.
