Por lo menos una vez en la vida hay que ir a Atenas para ver la Acrópolis. Por muchas fotos que comparta aquí contigo, nunca sera lo mismo, que estar frente a frente de la histórica ciudadela. La Acropolis es un simbolo de la civilización occidental. / At least one on your life time you have to visit Athens to be at the Acropolis. As much pictures as I can share with you, it would never been the same, that been there in front of the historical city. The Acropolis is a symbol of western civilization.
El Partenon te deja helada, no hay palabras. Esta construido con proporciones perfectas, cada pieza del Partenon es única, y cabe solo en un sitio como si se tratara de un puzle. Nadie sabe, con seguridad si algún día, el templo sera reconstruido completamente, pero es increíble como los griegos lo construyeron en 9 años y a día de hoy, el hombre moderno ha sido incapaz de reconstruirlo. / Been in front of the Parthenon makes you feel frozen, there are no words. It's build under perfect proportions, each part is unique and fits only in one place, as if it were a puzzle. No one knows for sure, if one day it would be total rebuild, but is incredible how the ancient Greeks built it in 9 years, and the modern man can't.
El templo fue construido en honor a la diosa Athenea, entre el año 447 - 438 a.c. con columnas de orden dórico. / The temple was build in honor to the Greek goddess Athenea, between 447 - 438 BC with columns in Doric order.
El templo Erechthelon fue construido por el escultor Phidas, bajo orden de Pericles, entre el año 421 - 406 a.c., en honor al legendario rey Erechtheus. El templo esta dedicado a Athenea y Poseidon. Lo mas característico son las cariatides, figuras femeninas que sirven como soporte arquitectonico, haciendo las funciones de columna y pilar. / The temple Erechthelon was biult between 421 and 406 BC, in honor to the legendary king Erechtheus. The sculptor was Phidas, who was employed by Pericles. The temple was dedicated to Athena and Poseidon. One of the best pieces are the caryatid, female figure that serves as an architectural support taking the place of a column or pillar.

It was the center of the commerce, what we known as market. It was the center of the commercial, social and politic life of the ancient Athens.
