“Waiting for the wind”

The work "Waiting for the Wind" is a mural measuring 45 meters long by 10 meters. This mural represents a group of eight winged figures, inspired by the Icarus of Greek mythology, who are in an imaginary space while waiting for the wind. Each of these winged figures has a unique and powerful attitude, which adds depth and dynamism to the composition.

The winged figures, known as icaros, are symbols of human ambition and the search for freedom. Each of them appears to be suspended in the air, with their wings spread and their bodies in various postures that reflect a wide range of emotions and moods.

Some of them show an expression of expectation and anticipation, while others seem to be in deep meditation, connecting with their interior and with the nature that surrounds them.

The background of the mural is meticulously designed to represent a timeless and ethereal space.

The work "Waiting for the Wind" invites viewers to reflect on the search for freedom, the connection with nature and the importance of patience and introspection in human life. The winged figures represent the aspiration to rise above limitations and achieve the unattainable, while the title suggests that waiting may be an essential part of that journey.

Mural organized by the Tantemani Organization, which is a social cooperative that works with creative tools with people with cognitive disabilities and women with stories of fragility. In addition to this, we also approach public art not so much in terms of artistic production but as a relationship tool with and between the community.

The creation of the mural is part of the "This is us" project that is developed from the idea of culture as care.

This mural project belongs to the Bergamo program as Italian Capital of Culture 2023 together with the city of Brescia;

“Esperando al viento” 
Bérgamo, Italia. Septiembre 2023

La obra "Esperando al viento" es un mural de 45 metros de largo por 10 metros Este mural representa un grupo de ocho figuras aladas, inspiradas en los icaros de la mitología griega, que se encuentran en un espacio imaginario mientras esperan el viento. Cada una de estas figuras aladas tiene una actitud única y poderosa, lo que añade profundidad y dinamismo a la composición.
Las figuras aladas, conocidas como icaros, son símbolos de la ambición humana y la búsqueda de la libertad. Cada una de ellas parece estar suspendida en el aire, con sus alas extendidas y sus cuerpos en posturas diversas que reflejan una amplia gama de emociones y estados de ánimo. Algunas de ellas muestran una expresión de expectación y anticipación, mientras que otras parecen estar en meditación profunda, conectando con su interior y con la naturaleza que los rodea.
El fondo del mural está meticulosamente diseñado para representar un espacio atemporal y etéreo. La obra "Esperando al Viento" invita a los espectadores a reflexionar sobre la búsqueda de la libertad, la conexión con la naturaleza y la importancia de la paciencia y la introspección en la vida humana. Las figuras aladas representan la aspiración de elevarse por encima de las limitaciones y alcanzar lo inalcanzable, mientras que el título sugiere que la espera puede ser una parte esencial de ese viaje.
Mural organizado por la Organización Tantemani, que es una cooperativa social que trabaja con herramientas creativas con personas con discapacidad cognitiva y mujeres con historias de fragilidad. Sumado a esto, también abordamos el arte público no tanto en términos de producción artística sino como herramienta de relación con y entre la comunidad.La realización del mural forma parte del proyecto "Estos somos nosotros" que se desarrolla a partir de la idea de cultura como cuidado.
Este proyecto mural pertenece al programa de Bérgamo como Capital Italiana de la Cultura  2023 junto con la ciudad de Brescia. Colabora también la Asociación True Quality (LINK Festival)
