Winter Style, what to pack to your first ski trip to the snow

Last week I spent few days in Colorado, to be more precise enjoying the snow at Breckenridge learning how to ski, thanks to my rad group of friends that organized it. I'm not a very good planner, so I was wondering what would I need for the trip right couple days before and this is what I learned:

Buying at a local thrift store is the best thing you can do! A lot of people just wear this kind of gear once and as it is so bulky they tend to donate so they don't carry weight back home. You can find really good and cool stuff for very cheap ($5 to $20), let's say jackets, ski pants or suits, waterproof gloves and even boots. I bought mine at Goodwill before the trip in Florida, but really it would have been a lot better just got it there. Now that I know the trick I'm sharing it with you.

Bring wool socks, beanie, neck warmer,lip balm (your lips can get so dry), sunblock, thermals and swimsuit for the hot tub or pool, it is very relaxing to jump in the hot water after a tough day skiing (beginners, you will spend a lot of time on your butt).

You will also need goggles, the white snow + the sun are not a good mix, so you want to protect your eyes. Amazon has a lot of good deals starting at $11, so that's not bad at all.
Besides skiing and snowboarding there are other things you can do around that are not as expensive or even free and are also fun like tubing or sledding, hiking, exploring the town, grab a bite from Above the Blue, a to go place also known by the locals as "Red's", there are also options that are not in the menu, just ask Red 😉 and he will prepare something really good for you, get a drink and hang out by the fire pit at the Blue Stag Saloon .. and of course you gotta make snow angels and take a bunch of pictures.
