"Breaking bad" fue la gran triunfadora de los Emmys

Los Emmys, los premios de la Televisión norteamericana, que no sólo premian series sino un montón de categorías televisivas se entregaron la semana pasada. En lo que a nosotros se refiere nos fijamos en las series que es lo que nos gusta y lo que vemos con auténtico deleite.
La gran vencedora fue “Breaking bad”, una serie que ha batido incluso récords mundiales por aquello de recibir tan buena acogida por parte del público como de la crítica y que se encuentra en su última temporada lo que ha favorecido la recepción de votos por parte de los académicos.
Yo diría que es una gran serie, pero no tengo tan claro que sea una serie “popular”, como tampoco lo son “Mad men” o “House of cards”, al menos en comparación con “Homeland”, “Juego de tronos”, “Dexter”, “Walking dead”, “Fringe” o las comedias “How I met your mother” o “The Big Bang Theory” que son las favoritas de casi todo el mundo. Para disfrutar “Breaking bad” o “Mad men” hay que tener paciencia e irlas saboreando poco a poco ya que personajes, situaciones y trama van “cociéndose” a fuego lento y quizás por eso mismo gustan tanto a los críticos más exigentes. En cualquier caso y sin haber disfrutado las últimas temporadas intuyo que es un premio más que justo.
En el apartado de comedia me declaro comentarista con menos argumentos porque no controlo todo lo que se ha nominado, pero quienes la ven consideran que “Modern family” es una digna ganadora, así que lo doy por bueno y prometo ponerme al día para hablar con conocimiento de causa.
Por lo demás esta edición se ha caracterizado por premios bastante repartidos y alguna sorpresa mayúscula como el premio de mejor actor en serie dramática para Jeff Daniels que no estaba en ninguna quiniela por mucho que "The newsroom" sea una serie a tener muy en cuenta. El resto son más o menos lógicos y se contaba con ellos o eran alternativas de peso a los favoritos.
Como siempre, lo mejor, es que en un reparto de premios de este tipo uno tiene la oportunidad de hacerse con un puñado de títulos a tener en cuenta y a poner en su lista de futuros visionados y entre ellos yo destacaría “Behind the candelabra”, la película para la televisión que ha hecho Steven Soderbergh con Matt Damon y Michael Douglas y que ha cosechado nada menos que once premios y duele y mucho no ver esas maravillas que son “Sherlock” o “Black mirror” entre las candidaturas, pero claro, todo no puede estar.
También decir que el listado de premios es inmenso porque conceden reconocimiento hasta los mejores capítulos, pero quien quiera sumergirse en el maremagno mejor se mete en la web http://www.emmys.com/ En nuestro caso lo interesante es conocer cuáles han sido las series que han recibido alguna nominación este año porque salvo contadas excepciones que quedan en el tintero son las que merece la pena ver y para eso quizás os valga el listado que encontraréis al final de este post.
