Seguimos sumando costes en nuestra vuelta al mundo. Aquí un resumen de nuestros nueve días por Israel, los costes son para dos personas.

De los costes para destacar en el apartado de otros se incluye el impuesto de salida. Si, si. cómo lo oyes por salir del país tienes que pagar algo. Entrada libre pero no salida, así estás atrapado. Dentro de temas culturales el mayor coste fue para la visita de Masada, la cual incluye el transporte en autobús público.

Incluyendo los transportes dentro del país y contando el cruce de fronteras con Jordania, no los que hicimos con nuestros amigos ya que íbamos en su coche) nos salió alrededor de 450 euros por persona. Que sumados a la cantidad anterior desde el 16 de Junio llevamos gastado 1250 euros por persona en nuestra vuelta al mundo.

Consejos de viaje para Israel

• Si te gusta viajar, pide que te sellen el pasaporte por separado, ya que algunos países árabes no te dejarán entrar si tienes un sello de Israel. Al mismo tiempo si después sales del país por tierra pide que hagan lo mismo ya que implicaría que has entrado desde el lado israelita.
• Vas a tener una pequeña entrevista a la llegada al aeropuerto, con simples preguntas repetidas de forma diferente para ver si se encuentran algunas contradicciones. Contesta honestamente si no sabes.
• En los grandes centros comerciales, estaciones de autobuses hay controles de seguridad con escaneres, así que procura tener todo en una mochila bolso para no estar vaciando tus bolsillos y poniendo todo de vuelta cada dos por tres.
• Definitivamente el verano no es el mejor tiempo para ir a visitar Israel, así que Primavera y Otoño es la mejor temporada.
• La compañía Egged cubre varias partes del país con su flota de autobuses, que además incluyen internet gratuito en los desplazamientos.
• Conseguir una tarjeta de transporte Rav-Kav te puede ahorrar un 20% en los deplazamientos, ya que te vale para autobuses, tren, y tranvía.
• Durante el Shabat el transporte público se reduce al mínimo si es que no se suspende totalmente.
• Israel es relativamente pequeño y es fácil plantarse en cualquier parte del país en pocas horas, por transporte público o coche de alquiler.

We continue with a summary of the costs for our round the world trip. Below you can see the cost of our nine days in Israel, the amounts are for two people.

I have included the cost of the exit fee in the “Other” costs. Yes,yes, you read correctly, you need to pay a fee in order to go out of the country. Free entry, but no free exit, so you are trapped. Among the “Culture” costs, the biggest one was the visit to Masada, here included the bus tickets.

Including the transportation in the country and the border crossing to Jordan, not the ones we had with our friends (since they were taking us by car), the total was 450 euros per person. Added up to the previous amount, since the 16th of June we have spent 1250 euros per person in our round the world trip.

Tips for travelling to Israel:

• If you like to travel, ask for a separate paper for the visa, given that some Arabic countries will not allow you to go in if you have the stamp from Israel. Same for when you go out of the country by land, ask for a separate paper at the other country´s border, since it would mean that you are coming from Israel.
• You will have a small interview when you arrive at the airport, with simple questions, rephrased a few times, so that they check for contradictions. Be honest and say it if you do not know the answer.
• In the big commercial centres and bus stations there are security scanners, so try to have everything in a backpack or a bag, so that you won´t need to empty your pockets and put everything back in a rush.
• Summer is definitely not the best time to visit Israel, so spring or autumn are recommended.
• The Egged bus company covers a big part of the country, and they have free wifi.
• Getting a Rav-Kav transport card 20%, since it´s used for buses, trains and trams.
• During the Shabat, the public transport is reduced to minimum, if not completely suspended.
• Israel is relatively small and it is easy to get to any part of the country in a few hours, by public transport or a rented car.
