Guía de viaje. China IV. Pekín / China guide IV. Beijiing

Terminamos el viaje a China en Pekín (podéis ver las entradas anteriores aquí, aquí y aquí).
We finished our trip to China in Beijing (you can see the previous posts here, here and here).

Como os he comentado ya, las ciudades chinas son muy diferentes entre sí. Pekín, a pesar de ser la capital del país, es muy provinciana y la menos desarrollada tecnológicamente.  Esto le da un encanto que se refleja especialmente en los hutong, los barrios tradicionales pekineses de estrechos callejones y casas bajas todas del mismo color gris.
As I told you before, Chinese cities are very different from each other. Beijing, in spite of being the capital of the country, is not so technologically developed as others. This gives a charm specially reflected in the hutongs, the traditional neighborhoods of narrow streets and low houses all of them the same gray color.

Pero la joya, que quisimos ver al final del viaje, es la Ciudad Prohibida. Estar allí permite apreciar la grandeza pasada y presente de este país. Y, desde luego, hacerse una idea de su súper población, ya que es la mayor atracción turística china.
But the gem of the city, which we wanted to see at the end of the trip, is the Forbidden City. Being there allows to appreciate the past and present greatness of this country. And, certainly, to get some idea of its super population, as it is the major tourist attraction in China.


Aunque creo que me gustó más el Palacio de Verano, sobre todo por su situación, en elevación y entorno a un lago.
But I think that I prefer the Summer Palace, especially because of its location, high up and around a lake.




El color de las fotos es por la contaminación, que tiñe los cielos de China de un gris amarillento.
The pollution is the reason of color of the photos, as it gives the skies of China a yellowish-grey.


La gastronomía china está entre nuestras favoritas, así que disfrutamos mucho durante el viaje. En Pekín fuimos a un buen restaurante a comer pato laqueado. Pero si queréis algo más exótico tenéis que visitar el  mercado nocturno de Wangfujing.
Chinese gastronomy is one of our favorites, so we enjoyed very much during the trip. In Beijing we went to a good restaurant to eat duck. But if you want to try something more exotic you have to visit Wangfujing's night market.

Como conclusión del viaje he de decir que China es uno de los países más exóticos que he visitado y aun así, creo que su cultura es a partes iguales tan diferente en unos aspectos como parecida a la nuestra en otros.
In conclusion, I have to say that China is one of the most exotic countries that I have visited and even this, I think that its culture is very different from ours in certain ways, but similar in others.
