Jumpsuits are cool

Si pensamos en tendencias y verano, no podemos pasar por alto los monos. Cada vez están mas de moda, y eso que se trata de esa prenda "todo en uno" que nos vuelve locas en muchas ocasiones. Si, locas porque es una pieza un tanto contradictoria, es cómoda para vestir pero incomoda para desvestir; bonita pero no favorece mucho; ligera pero compacta. / If we think about trends and summer, we can't pass over jumpsuits. Each time they are more in fashion, even if is a "all in one" garment that many times drives us crazy. Yes, crazy because is a piece a little conflicting, comfy to dress but bother to undress; pretty but doesn't suit well; light but compact.


Si nos remontamos al pasado, los monos se crearon para los paracaidistas y personal aéreo que se exponía a altas temperaturas. Dichos monos estaban diseñados para protegerlos de estas. Con el paso del tiempo, esta pieza única, se adapto a otros campos: pilotos de carreras de Formula 1, obreros, etc. / If we look back in time, jumpsuits were created for parachuters and skydivers that had to deal with low temperatures. Those jumpsuit wre design to protect them form it. As time pass by it was adapted to other fields: one driver formula, manual laborers, etc.
En la moda no aparecieron hasta los años 60, aunque su época dorada, realmente, fueron los 80. Durante los 90, siguieron estando presentes, y con el paso del tiempo, siempre han seguido con sigilo muy presentes. / In fashion they didn't appeared until the 60's, although their golden years were the 80's. During the 90's, they still were present, and as the years pass by, they have been quietly awake.

Fue en 2012 cuando aparecieron de nuevo como "tendencia"; diseñadores, modelos, celebrities y bloggers de todo el mundo apostaron por ellos. No había ningún armario, que se preciara que no dispusiera de un mono. / It was in 2012 when they come back as a "trend"; designers, models, celebrities and bloggers around the world bet for them. There wasn't any great wardrobe that didn't got a jumpsuit.




Tres tipos de monos que encajan. / Three types on jumpsuits that works. 

1. Monos vaqueros. / Denim jumpsuits.  

Tienen mas años que Matusalen, es cierto, pero esta temporada se han vuelto a ver en los street style de las principales blogs de moda, y en las semanas de la moda de las principales ciudades. Es el mono mas causual de todo, y el que, de algún modo, tiene reminiscencias de su pasado. / It is older than Matuselen, is true, but these season they have come back along with the streetstyle of the most popular fashion blogs, and at the fashion weeks of the essential cities. Is the most casual jumpsuit and the one, that reminds to the pass.




2. Monos cortos. / Short suits.

Es una pieza perfecta para el día. Según como la combines te puede servir para ir a la playa, ir a la oficina, salir de brunch con tus amigas, ir de vinitos o salir por la noche.  Eso es lo mejor de todo, te permite jugar con tus estilismos, y crear looks nuevos en cada momento. / Is a perfect piece for the day. Up to how you mix and match it can be use for the beach, go to the office, hang out for a brunch, for and after work, or to go out on the evening. Is the best of all, it let you play with your looks, and creat new onces every time.




3. Monos largos. / Long suits. 

Son los mas elegantes de los tres. Ideales para adaptarlos al día o a la noche; de forma casual o glamurosa. / They are the most dress up type. Great to wear them for the day or the evening; in a casual or glamour way. 
3.1. Para el día. / For the day.  
Logran looks chic, estilosos y elegantes. Lo importante es como lo combines, no olvides que los accesorios son una pieza clave, cuanto mas minimalista mas look de día sera. / They create chic, stylish and elegant looks. The important is how you mix it, don't forget that accessories are a clue piece, as much minimal it would be more day look will be.



3.2. Para la noche. / For the evening. 

Se llevan y mucho, celebrities como Paula Echevarria, Diane Kruger, Dree Hemingway, Olivia Palermo, etc, han echo de ellos una opción perfecta para desbancar al clásico vestido.  Si lo tuyo es innovar, o ir a la ultima, escoge los accesorios necesarios y presume de mono. / Is so in, celebrities such as Paula Echevarria, Diane Kruger, Dree Hemingway, Olivia Palermo, etc. had made of them a perfect choice to replace teh classic dress. If you are into innovation, or dress on the last trend, chose the right accessories and primp of jumpsuit.

Mientras escribo esto, estoy de vacaciones en Ibiza, la cobertura no es muy buena, y el pincho que tengo hay veces que se bloquea. Sigo trabajando e intentare publicar cuando pueda.
