5. REQUIEM POR UN SUEÑO de Darrenn Aronofsky (2000)
La música de Clint Mansell, con la ayuda de Kronos Quartet, sirve perfectamente para destrozar las esperanzas del espectador. El compositor se basa en un tema, con fuerte participación del violín (reconozcamos que es el instrumento más decididamente bello pero a la vez desquiciante), que nos recuerda enormemente al planteamiento hecho por Nyman en infinidad de composiciones. Una ida y venida, un baile de desenfreno hacia el abismo. Un Requiem por un sueño, nunca conseguido.
