Mis últimos trabajos / My last works

No sé cómo, porque con las clases y los encargos tengo muy poco tiempo, pero la verdad es que he hecho muchas cosas en los últimos meses; casi todo enfocado a aprender nuevas técnicas y conocer nuevos materiales. Me lo estoy pasando muy bien.
I don´t know how, because  the classes and the orders leave me a very little time, but the truth is that I have made many things in recent months; almost everything focused on learning new techniques and knowing new materials. I am having a great time. 
He practicado curvas en patchwork. Uno de los mejores libros que he comprado este año es A quilter's mixology, de Angela Pingel, que recoge 16 proyectos con curvas. El primer patrón que he hecho se llama Nine patch curves quilt. ¡Me encanta como ha quedado!
I have practised curves in patchwork. One of the best books that I have bought this year is A quilter's mixology, by Angela Pingel, which contains 16 projects with curves. The first pattern I have made is called “Nine patch curves quilt”. I love the result! 

Con el punto no he parado. Por fin he terminado el chal de mi madre. El modelo se llama Paisley Lace Shawl, un diseño de Annie Modesitt para la revista Jane Austen Knits (número de verano de 2012).
I have neither stopped knitting. Finally I have finished the shawl for my mother. The model is called “Paisley Lace Shawl”, a design by Annie Modesitt for the magazine Jane Austen Knits (summer of 2012 issue).



Nunca había tejido con lana 100% pero aproveché una oferta y compré un ovillo de la prestigiosa marca danesa Kauni. Hilada y tintada a mano con productos naturales, es una delicia de tejer y el resultado es una maravilla, aunque a mi la lana me pica. Hice una bufanda a partir del patrón de Anniken Allis para la revista Knitting Traditions (número de otoño de 2013).
It had never knitted using a yarn 100% wool, but I took advantage of an offer and bought a ball of the recognised Danish brand Kauni. Spun and dyed by hand with natural products, it is a delight for knitting and the result is wonderful, though I find wool itchy. I made a scarf from the pattern of Anniken Allis for the magazine Knitting Traditions (autumn of 2013 issue). 


Otro "experimento" fue tejer con Air Lux de Katia, Es una lana afieltrada con la que es una aventura deshacer, pero es preciosa y de una textura muy agradable. El patrón es Wave, de Kristen Finlay, que podéis descargar gratuitamente en Ravelry.
Another "experiment" was to knit with Air Lux by Katia. It is a felted yarn very difficult to undo, but it is beautiful and it has a very pleasant texture. The pattern is “Wave”, by Kristen Finlay, which you can download for free on Ravelry. 


Si queréis tejer con un buen acrílico, me gusta mucho la gama Bravo de SMC. La calidad precio es muy buena. Para un encargo de última hora opté por la Bravo Big Color, el color 86, que es elegante e ideal para chicos.
If you want to knit with a good acrylic yarn, I like very much the SMC Bravo range. It offers a very good value for money. For a last-minute order I chose for Bravo Big Color, the color 86, which is elegant and ideal for boys.

Este cuello se llama Tanner Cowl y el patrón es de Amy Christoffers. Lo podéis encontrar en el libro New American Knits. Lo he tejido con tres ovillos de Riana Color, de SMC. La textura y la elasticidad son estupendas.
This cowl is called "Tanner Cowl" and it is a Amy Christoffers’ pattern. You can find it in the book "New American Knits". I have knitted it with three balls of SMC Riana Color. The texture and the elasticity are great. 

Y finalmente esta chaqueta, de la que estoy muy orgullosa. El patrón se llama Shawl Collar Jacket y lo podéis descargar gratuitamente en Bergere de France. La he tejido con Merino Extra de Valeria di Roma.
And finally this jacket, which I am very proud of. The pattern is called “Shawl Collar Jacket” and you can download for free in Bergere de France. I have knitted it with Valeria di Roma’s Merino Extra. 


Sigo con mis lettering bordados. Me decidí a bordar con un hilo que compré en Estambul, mezcla de algodón y dorado, realmente difícil de trabajar porque la tensión de las hebras es distinta y se desenrosca enseguida. Pero me gusta como ha quedado.
I am going on with my embroidered lettering. I decided to embroider with a thread I also bought in Istanbul, mixture of cotton and methalised thread, really difficult to work because the fibers tension is different and it unscrews easily. But I like how it looks. 


Y éste es un arriesgado juego de texturas, puntos y  colores. Pero ha sido divertido hacerlo.
And this is a risky game of textures, stitches and colors. But it has been lots of fun to make it.



En cuanto a la costura, ya sabéis por mis tutoriales que hago de todo. Y la verdad es que mis alumnas me "ponen las pilas", lo que me anima mucho. Gracias a ellas participo en un montón de proyectos que sería imposible que hiciese yo sola.
As for sewing, you already know from my tutorials that I make everything. And the truth is that my pupils are a many times a challenge, and this encourages me very much. Thanks to them I participate in many projects that would never do by myself.
