Además de la visita a la feria, mi viaje a Milan estaba destinado a acompañar a los diseñadores que concursaban en el REMIX 2011, un concurso internacional de diseñadores noveles en el que los finalistas viajan a Milan para la fase final del concurso. Pasamos todo el día juntos junto a Paolo, profesor de la especialidad de fur en el IED de Milan. Los finalistas, todos de nacionalidades diferentes, presentaban por la noche su diseño final ante un jurado. El IFTF (International Fur Trade Federation) dio el premio a sólo un ganador y yo tuve la oportunidad de entrevistarlos a todos pero os lo pondré en otro post puesto que estoy todavía preparando el vídeo. Os dejo las fotos del evento para que veáis los modelos ganadores. Verdaderas obras de arte, muy elaborados y con diseños muy especiales.
Apart from my visit to Mifur fair in Milan two weeks ago, the reason why I went there was to attend the 2011 Remix Competition Event, an international competition of young fur designers. I spent all day together with 7 desginers and Paolo from the IED school in Milan. The finalists, all from different nationalities, showed that night their designs to the IFTF jury. I also had the chance to interview them all but I am stil preparing the video that I'll show you in future posts. Here you have the pictures of the event and their designs. They have all made a great work and have very special designs.
